Techno Podcasts

The long-anonymous Peak Oil favourite breaks cover with two hours that run from post-punk and dub to vintage New York house.

Mystery is a powerful force. What stays unknown stays enticing—negative space the listener fills in for themselves. Minimalists may be its largest constituency, and few have held the line as long as Topdown Dialectic.

That changed with False LP A, which finally named him: Izaak Schlossman, a San Francisco photographer who spent years issuing untitled, identically timed tracks with no narrative attached.

Coming out of the shadows hasn't cost the music its haze. Working in the Basic Channel lineage, Schlossman lays tracing paper over house and dub techno and pulls through the faintest outline—a bassline's shadow, the memory of a chord. Tracks surface the way bodies emerge in a steam room.

He belongs to a North American underground that's been among dance music's most progressive forces this past decade—no surprise, then, that he credits Scott Zacharias of Detroit's No Way Back in the Q&A.

This isn't quite the end of the mystery. Only the second Topdown Dialectic mix to surface, RA.1049 wipes the condensation from the glass just long enough for a look inside: it opens with a cut from German label Workshop before drifting from atmospheric post-punk and dubbed-out house into cosmic electro and, by the close, vintage New York house. It moves at an unhurried, chugging pace, but never mistakes restraint for stasis—each track quietly recalibrating until another contour comes into view.

Playing at Monument events is always something special. So many people come together with a shared intention of creating something meaningful. At a time when there's so much negativity surrounding events and communities, it gives us hope that we can still create spaces where people feel safe to be themselves, connect with one another and immerse themselves in something we build together.

Of course, it comes with its challenges. We often have less than a day to transform an empty space into a fully functioning event, but experiences like these remind me that, with a dedicated and creative team, it's possible to build something extraordinary. It becomes less about resources and more about the people who are willing to create structure, solve problems, and make it happen.

For this edition, we wanted to invite Cobahn and Scøpe while also continuing Monument's long standing commitment to giving space to emerging artists. Supporting new talent has always been an important part of our identity. It isn't always the easiest path, but we're fortunate to be in a position where we can embrace those challenges and help create opportunities for artists who deserve them.

Some words from the artist -

I wanted to keep people dancing by blending bouncy grooves with straighter, driving tracks.
As the morning sun started pouring onto the dancefloor, I wanted to bring a bit more happiness to the crowd, so I began playing brighter and more danceable tracks. I hope everyone who listens to this recording can feel the atmosphere and energy of that special moment.

Some words from the artist -

This one feels very personal to me. It was one of the most honest techno sets I've played in a long time, bringing together some of the latest music that has been inspiring me the most alongside some of the earliest gems from when I first started playing techno. With the beautiful setting and the incredible dedication of the MONUMENT team, everything came together beautifully once we connected with the audience.

It was Midsummer in Oslo, one of the most beautiful times of the year. I still remember looking out the window during the night and seeing the sky still glowing with light. It made the whole experience feel even more magical.

I'm grateful that this moment can now live on beyond that night. I hope you enjoy the journey.

Built around deep, powerful and mysterious atmospheres, this mix brings together music I've been enjoying playing at recent gigs. It moves through hypnotic textures, rolling energy and moments of intensity, with a few dubby moments along the way. The selection features tracks from my recent sets alongside upcoming and unreleased music from myself and some of my favourite producers.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from @nimal. "Everything's Fine" comes off the new EP, Keep Quiet, forthcoming from the NYC-based artist. The EP is an intimate exploration of mental health. The final track of the EP, “Everything’s Fine” dives into themes of denial, a struggle for inner peace, and the masking of one’s insecurities. Using emotional melodies paired with hard-hitting basslines and percussion, the track ends the EP on an uneasy high point after the turbulence and paranoia of the EP’s prior tracks.

529th episode of the Monument Podcast Series is brought to you by London-based artist https://soundcloud.com/basicchanel

She describes the mix with a few words:

"Since the warmer months have arrived I’ve been drawn to colour so much more, in both what I’m wearing and the music I’m listening to. This has reflected in the music I’ve been playing and the recent settings I’ve been lucky enough to play in, including the beautiful woodlands of La Nature - one of the most special sets I’ve experienced so far. This session is heavily inspired by that sunrise set, channeling the energy of the summer solstice. Drawn to warmer sounds and brighter synths, this mix reflects these kaleidoscopic feelings that I’ve been experiencing recently."

The fifth chapter of The Third Room's curator-led series is shaped by Alarico, one of the defining voices of a new generation pushing techno into faster, sharper and more rhythm-driven territory. Through his productions, DJ sets and close ties to a network of like-minded artists, he has helped shape a contemporary sound defined by tension, detail and forward momentum.

Artist: Various Artists
Title: Curation Fifth: Alarico
Label: The Third Room
Catalogue: T3R026
Format: Vinyl 12”
Genre: Electronic
Style: #Techno
Release date: August 11, 2026

Tracklist:
1. Yanamaste & Alarico - Connection
2. Toru Ikemoto - Crimson Leaf Minstre
3. Lea Occhi & Amotik - Blue Lights
4. Alarico - IB1809

For his curation, the focus lies on connection. Bringing together artists operating within a shared sonic language, the release reflects a generation where precision, movement and emotional depth exist in constant dialogue.

The record opens with Connection, a first official collaboration between Yanamaste and Alarico. The track captures the intersection of both artists' approaches: Yanamaste's intricate and distinctive synth work meets Alarico's driving, forward momentum. Fast, pulsing and tightly controlled, it unfolds through cycles of tension and release, stripped back to its essential elements.

On Crimson Leaf Minstre, Toru Ikemoto builds a detailed and contrasting sound palette. Bright, delicate elements interact with darker stabs that disrupt and reshape the rolling bassline, creating a sense of movement that feels continuous rather than moment-based. The track leans into depth and variation, balancing clarity with a more mysterious tone.

Blue Lights by Lea Occhi & Amotik shifts into a more groove-led space. What begins with a functional framework gradually opens up - subtle chords and restrained vocal elements add texture and attitude without overtaking the structure, resulting in a track that feels both light and deep.

Closing the record, IB1809 sees Alarico return with a defining statement. Reduced but highly present, the track builds around a strong rhythmic core, where chords, melody and vocal fragments interlock with precision. There is a sense of contrast at play - melancholic yet driven, vulnerable yet forceful - culminating in a moment that feels both functional and expansive.

Across all four tracks, the release remains tightly focused - fast, dynamic and cohesive, with a strong emphasis on movement and detail. As the fifth entry in the series, it captures a distinctly modern strain of techno, where emotional nuance and rhythmic intensity are no longer in opposition, but fully aligned.

On the A-side, Benales delivers direct, groove-led tracks with solid low-end and tight drums, built for club use.

On the B-side, Clotur takes over with a deeper, more hypnotic approach and a raw edge. The B2 switches to breakbeat, adding a different angle without losing flow. Straightforward tools for the floor.

A masterclass in the art of the all-nighter, as one of France's finest purveyors of funk delivers six hours live from Robert Johnson.

What does minimal sound like in 2026? Ask five DJs and you'll get five answers, from the acidic electro and techno of Montevideo to the dubby loops of Montreal. A real contender for the face of contemporary minimal, though, is Romain Poncet, AKA Traumer.

Poncet is, in many ways, old school. As a DJ, he offers a French twist on Rominimal: long, drawn-out loops mixed with imperceptible precision. In the studio, he turns out the kind of records you'd find in Raresh's bag. He didn't start out a minimal head, though. His early-'10s releases were driving techno and tech house, but around 2016 the Parisian changed tack, launching GET TRAUM — a label steeped in both Bucharest's ar:pia:r and France's own history of deep, stripped-back house.

Whatever the genre, his music is understated, never showy: DJ tools in the truest sense, designed for dancers and for DJs who want to tell a story over a long set. Case in point is RA.1048, a six-hour recording from Robert Johnson. The drums skip like kids let out for summer; the melodies sit between euphoria and melancholy. Swallow it whole or savour it course by course — RA.1048 is a Traumer tasting menu.

Tracklist:
A1: Monthly
A2: Yearly
A3: Hourly
B1: Real
B2: Everlasting
B3: Everlasting (Beau Didier Remix)

Opening with 'Monthly', the EP sets the tone with a punchy kick, crisp high-end percussion and a driving bassline, while smeared textures and subtle effects create depth within a minimal framework. 'Yearly' intensifies the approach, with sharper hi-hats and layered mid percussion pushing the energy forward, maintaining a hypnotic yet no-frills momentum.'Hourly' keeps the focus on rhythm, pairing dense percussion work with a bouncing bassline that locks into a steady groove, while occasional pad accents add flashes of brightness.

On the second half, 'Real' strips things back, centering around a rolling bassline and sparse percussion, with shimmering synth touches guiding the track into deeper territory. 'Everlasting' reintroduces a tougher edge, driven by a hard-hitting kick and a bouncing low end, while eerie synth elements add a darker tone. Closing the EP, Beau Didier, a rising force in the Techno scene and fellow Frenzy collective member, reshapes 'Everlasting' into a smoother, more low-end focused roller. Known for his heavy basslines and powerful rhythms, Didier brings the bassline to the forefront, softens the percussion and introduces vocal chops that expand the atmosphere.

On his debut EP on Regal's Backspin Records, the 8th release of the newborn imprint, Isaiahpresents a focused collection of percussive techno tools built for diverse sets, offering tracks for every moment while maintaining a consistent, groove-driven identity throughout.

The technical framework across these four tracks is unyielding and pure. The entire EP was produced using only an Akai MPC One and stereo processed through the Roland SP-404 mkII. Operating on a self-imposed limitation of just one drum-program to establish an endless fundamental loop and one synth-program to drive the motif, the final arrangements were captured live in just one or two takes.
Written between July and August 2025 right before his summer exit to Cyclades the resulting music stands as a deeply erotic and melancholic snapshot of the burning summer sun and the primal energy of the Cycladic islands, turning personal memories into raw, hypnotic rhythm. CEPX002 is around the corner and marks the second chapter of the X Series on CEP Records. With this release we welcome vinyl head Eubo from Glasgow to the label. From the first track he sent us it was clear that this is the direction we want to push. A strong old-school influence, shaped by vinyl culture and the energy of the early two thousands. The connection felt natural from the start.

Tracklist:
A1. Iron
A2. Aluminium
B1. Steel
B2. Lead

A1 'Iron' is probably the most intense track on the record. A rolling bassline, sharp and slippy drums, and a lead that lays over the track with deep mids. It brings a short moment of calm, while the drive stays constant. A2 'Aluminium' stands out with its clear high hats and a modular synth that recalls sweaty and dark mornings. The sound has a slightly hypnotic and metallic touch. On the B side, 'Steel' moves through the interplay of its synths. The kick and bass stay steady and driving. A timeless track that can underline the peak moments in a DJ set. Closing the release is 'Leed'. It brings a funky bass together with serious, almost contrasting synth stabs.

On her debut EP "In the Bleak Midwinter", out on Agora Records, Iman Janes delivers dark, club-oriented techno built on finely crafted textures and hypnotic movement. Through this record, Iman Janes evokes a phase of reconstruction, a journey from the bleak winter toward the rebirth of summer, moving through cold, heavy atmospheres before opening toward the light.

The EP opens with "Aligned", charged and driving, followed by "When the Fire Sleeps", a playful collaboration with Sicion. The title track "In the Bleak Midwinter" anchors the record, before a powerful remix from Kaltblume closes it on its peak.

Smile Sessions presents Fire Ritual, the new five-track EP from PŌNKY.

Rooted in hypnotic, ritualistic techno, the record moves in cycles : motorik grooves that repeat, tighten, and pull deeper with each rotation. There's nothing decorative here, each track is functional in the truest sense, built for the floor and shaped with intention. From opener to closer, Fire Ritual sustains a single, focused pulse: steady, physical, immersive.

DJs have always had to dig for records, but Nicolas Lutz has taken the search for sound to obsessive new levels. The Uruguayan has spent more than 20 years excavating tunes, labels and artists most of us never knew existed. Genre is largely irrelevant; instead, the My Own Jupiter boss threads his finds into beautifully dark and alluring soundscapes full of mystery and tension.

Playing in that way requires great technical skill as well as refined taste, and this week's podcast is further proof that Lutz has both in high supply. For almost two hours here, he navigates stark and moody atmospheres, trippy, stripped-back machine grooves and music that fires both head and body. Techno, breakbeat, IDM and wave all feature, but the outcome is never predictable. And that's exactly where the magic lies.

77 minutes of wickedly twitchy grooves from the belly of the New York underground.

"Music is meant to be shared. Music is meant to be shared. Music is meant to be shared."

This phrase is written again and again in the About section for the mix series and label pi pi pi. For deep creep, the force behind the popular platform, it serves as a radical promise: music is, and must always be, collective and communal.

On RA.1047, deep creep digs appropriately deep into her bag with a mix of minimal, tech house and dub, as well as flashes of techno and even a little flirt with electroclash. Pulses of sub weight, dubby melodies, introspective synths and quirky minimal funk make for a mix both dark yet euphoric, claustrophobic yet spacious. Dive in.

Berlin’s Phil Berg, one of techno’s most distinctive rising names, debuts on Mutual Rytm with his ‘Dārin’ EP.

DIGI. Nyx

First invited as the debut guest DJ for Mutual Rytm’s inaugural label night back in 2022, Berlin’s Phil Berg has maintained a close relationship with the imprint ever since. Known for his shadowy, immersive sound, Berg has carved out a singular position within the scene - equally respected for his high-impact DJ sets, his improvisational live performances, and a production style defined by clarity, tension, and a deeply recognisable sonic identity. While his live shows remain a vital part of his artistic DNA, often shaping the raw ideas that later evolve in the studio, his work extends far beyond the club floor, marking him out as a fully formed and increasingly essential voice in contemporary techno. That connection between stage and studio is fully realised on ‘Dārin’, where Berg delivers a darker, more driving statement for his Mutual Rytm debut, with the title track already becoming a standout in the sets of label founder SHDW.

The title cut opens the EP with great urgency, as flaming drums and machine-gun synths are fired across the night sky, with sensuous whispers and sonar pulses adding the pull of the groove. Next, ‘Tempest’ brings big, banging hits, nailing down the kicks while rising tension appears through the backlit synths and distant bass rumbles. ‘Tanoo’ releases the pressure with a more luminous synth line that locks you in a trance as linear drums race on, while ‘Mephisto’ keeps you on edge with twitchy motifs and a burrowing bassline that drills down deep into a moody underworld. The EP closes with ‘Destiny Bond’, which rises with undulating, tactile lines, sleek synth smears, and a cosmic sense of travel. As digital bonus cuts, ‘Seiko’ and ‘Nyx’ bring anxiety and foreboding to the fore with two more muscular and physical deep techno hitters crafted for maximum impact.

Released on July 10, 2026 via Mama told ya, «Seduction (is a lie)» marks the first collab between Lacchesi and French electronic music legend Kittin, and serves as the lead single from Lacchesi’s forthcoming album, due this fall.

Driven by Lacchesi’s hypnotic production and Kittin’s unmistakable spoken-word delivery, «Seduction (is a lie)» is both a dancefloor weapon and a powerful statement. Through her lyrics, Kittin reflects on the pressure she has faced throughout her career regarding her appearance and the persistent sexualization of female performers within an industry that was originally built on the idea of separating sound from its source.

“Isotope” opens with an atmospheric introduction before settling into a stripped-back, tightly controlled rhythm. “High Pressure” raises the intensity through stomping momentum, while “Stigmatization” revolves around a memorable string hook, chopped vocal fragments and looping hypnosis. “Testra” expands the spectrum with a weightier low-end and more cinematic progression, leading naturally into “Inflection Curve” — a pure peak-time tool designed for maximum functionality.

Closing track “Light Remains” brings a touch of melody and old-school sensibility, offering an elegant finale without sacrificing the record’s momentum. Altogether, Derode delivers a focused statement of contemporary techno — functional, atmospheric and unmistakably aligned with the KYSH sound.

Life In Patterns welcomes Amsterdam-based live act and producer VNTM for his debut appearance on the label with “Ostbahn”, a five-track EP arriving on vinyl and digital formats on 17 July 2026.

For VNTM, Ostbahn marks a departure from his usual creative process. While most of his productions are conceived and developed within the familiarity of his studio, every track on this release originated elsewhere — each one tied to a specific place, encounter, or moment beyond its walls. These external sparks became the foundation for a collection that feels both deeply personal and unmistakably geared towards the dance floor.

Tracklist:

3. Tireno Swing
4. Bizarrity
5. Distorted Reflection

Across the EP, VNTM explores the intersection of emotional depth and physical intensity. Dark, immersive pads and melancholic atmospheres are woven into powerful techno frameworks, driven by heavy low frequencies, tightly locked grooves, and a precise sense of movement. The result is a body of work that balances introspection with impact, equally suited to peak-time systems and solitary listening.

Based in Amsterdam, VNTM has established himself as one of techno's most distinctive live performers, appearing at major festivals and clubs worldwide with a hardware-focused setup dedicated entirely to his own productions. His sound combines harmonic exploration and narrative-driven composition with distorted percussion, futuristic sound design, and a constant embrace of emerging synthesizer technologies.

Beyond his performances, VNTM is the driving force behind the acclaimed Mindscape events at Amsterdam's Lofi, where he has hosted artists including Len Faki, Kangding Ray, Sterac, Âme, Recondite, Polygonia, Luigi Tozzi, Vril, and JakoJako. Recent highlights include his debut on the Awakenings Festival Mainstage, an all-night-long live set at Lofi Amsterdam, and a sold-out debut performance at Refuge in New York City.

With “Ostbahn”, VNTM delivers a compelling first chapter on Life In Patterns — a release shaped by experiences beyond the studio, translated into hypnotic, emotionally charged techno built for deep immersion and maximum physicality.

On the flip side, "Lamina" explores darker territory, delivering deep, shadowy atmospheres and a more intense energy. Closing the vinyl edition is "Room101", the deepest track of the EP, a versatile and timeless tool capable of creating memorable moments at any stage of a set.

The digital version expands the journey with two additional cuts. "Notorious" stands out for its intricate percussion work and detailed production, while "Animal Farm" delivers the most forward-thinking and unpredictable side of the release, pushing the EP into even more adventurous territory.

With Deadlock, Vilchezz demonstrates an impressive range of moods and sonic approaches, confirming himself as one of the most exciting and versatile artists emerging in today's techno landscape.

90 minutes of scintillating house and techno, primed for the heart of summer.

There's something delightfully paradoxical about Jennifer Loveless. Her productions skew hedonistic yet minimal; her DJing feels both spacey and oceanic. Hell, even her artist bio underlines her taste for opposites: "Jennifer Loveless is contrary to her name, all heart."

This yin and yang runs through RA.1046. Built around swung percussion, the 97-minute mix wanders across genre and time with an aquatic sensibility. She mixes her own tunes with early '00s tech house to craft a seaside mise en scène where new-school heroes like Pancratio and Ladymonix share fruity cocktails with certified legends (K-HAND, Jay Tripwire). Strap in for deep cuts that sound simultaneously galactic and like they floated up from the ocean floor.

The fourth chapter of The Third Room's curator-led series is shaped by Freddy K, one of techno's most enduring and uncompromising voices. Through decades behind the decks, an unwavering commitment to vinyl culture and his work with Key Vinyl, he has helped shape a generation of artists rooted in functionality, precision and a direct connection to the dancefloor.

Artist: Various Artists
Title: Curation Four: Freddy K
Label: The Third Room
Catalogue: T3R024
Format: Vinyl 12”
Genre: Electronic
Style: #Techno
Release date: August 10, 2026

Tracklist:
1. Toobris - Bat
2. Sons Of Hidden - Before Mirrors
3. Quelza - Clouds Cream
4. Jin Synth - Swing of Time

For his curation, the focus lies on alignment. The selection brings together artists who reflect that same discipline: a reduced but expressive approach, stripped to essentials yet rich in detail. With contributions from Toobris and Sons of Hidden, both previously featured on Key Vinyl, the release also reflects the long-standing artistic relationships behind his vision.

Bat by Toobris opens the record with a powerful, straightforward statement. Driven by a steady pulse and minimal elements, the track feels alive through its control - direct, efficient and highly expressive without excess.

Before Mirrors by Sons of Hidden continues this direction while expanding into a more spheric space. Tension is held consistently, with subtle accents carefully placed to shift the energy and draw the listener deeper into the track.

On the B-side, Clouds Cream by Quelza stands out as a more intricate and exploratory piece. Deep and immersive, it unfolds through detailed sound design and evolving structures. Rather than relying on repetition alone, the track develops its own internal logic - balancing complexity with clarity, and allowing each element the space to contribute to a larger whole.

Closing the record, Swing of Time by Jin Synth shifts into a rougher, more moody territory. Subtle pitch modulation and shifting textures create a sense of instability, giving the track a distinctive edge while maintaining its functionality.

Across all four tracks, the release remains focused and cohesive - built on reduction, tension and control, but carried by small, defining moments that shape its movement.

Two sublime hours of house and techno from the Berlin-based DJ and producer, making his long-awaited RA Mix debut.

Before clubs shut down in 2020, Christian AB was one of the underground's best-kept secrets. The London-born DJ built a cult following through sets that fused deep house, techno and impossibly rare records, earning a reputation as an IYKYK selector with encyclopaedic taste. Now based in Berlin, Christian Browne has stepped into the spotlight, releasing on Francesco Del Garda's Timeless and Ryan Elliott's Faith Beat, while touring alongside Jeff Mills in support of Live at Liquid Room.

Browne describes his sound as "dark elegance," and RA.1045 captures it perfectly. Across two hours, driving grooves, acid lines, hazy chords and moments of tension unfold with remarkable patience.

The first half-hour drifts through IDM and ambient house before the mix gradually tightens its grip, but every apparent peak is met with an unexpected left turn. It's a masterclass in pacing that rewards repeat listens. Forget the track IDs—just press play.

Lynne is a Japanese, London-based artist whose sound has drifted from its drum & bass roots into more textural, obscure and experimental territory, though those roots always remain at its core. She's most at home in the grey space between genres, where her rhythm becomes a gravitational force pulling dancers in all the right directions.

For Monument she has prepared a presentation that truly showcases her skillset in the field.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Vahakn. "Glasscutter" is the new single from the British, Lisbon-based music producer and composer. Out on Pretty Decent Music Records, the track is a devastating, dubstep-laden sonic monstrosity, "Glasscutter" is both terrifying and beautiful in equal measure—the sixth in a series of filmic and filthy releases for deep listening, crafted by sonic pioneer Vahakn. Listeners will drink its glitchy tonic and ascend into a world of luscious twinkles, developing sonic omniscience as they hear the threads flow into an evil ecstasy and back again. It's a track that refuses conventional structure—dense, unpredictable, and utterly immersive.

The 41st release on TECHNO Records marks a defining milestone: the first full-scale solo record by the label’s founder, Nastia, in her music career. It opens up a new depth of detail within the character and identity of both the artist and the catalogue.

Tracklist
A1. Indoctrinated
A2. Ignorance Is Keelleeng
B1. True Majority
B2. Additive Integration

Rather than making a loud statement, Nastia focuses on a restrained and functional approach to techno, shaped through subtle shifts in tension, texture, and rhythm. The tracks move with intention, avoiding obvious peaks in favour of gradual development and controlled energy—a familiar methodology and a direct analogy to the evolution of the label itself. Crafted with dancefloor energy in mind but not bound by it, the release offers a fresh perspective on the author’s persona, stripping away excess and overexplanation. It leaves ample room for the listener’s imagination and a versatile, expert application within a DJ set.

The trajectory of ascents and shifting attention in an artist’s career is the only honest path, providing material for reflection and the anchoring of values. This depth of experience cannot be replicated by overnight success or short-lived peaks—only decades of exploration, trial, and error can forge a work built to endure. Studio work becomes a new instrument for Nastia to build value capital, while her debut solo EP stands as an artefact marking a historic point for the author and the label.

A1 “Indoctrinated” — a masterclass in rhythmic interplay used as a narrative device. It functions as a sonic manifesto: universally accessible yet distinctly individual. A process-driven track, its strength lies in its ability to repeatedly shift the listener’s focus. It serves as an ideal transitional tool, offering a calculated awakening from a hypnotic state.

A2 “Ignorance Is Keelleeng” — a structured dancefloor powerhouse built on a precise understanding of peak-time energy. Functioning as a set-defining anchor, it allows the DJ to pivot the mix in any direction without losing momentum. A true catalyst track that opens up new sonic horizons.

B1 “True Majority” — the most forward-thinking cut on the record, providing a definitive blueprint for the hypnotic techno sound of summer 2026. It presents a multi-layered, all-encompassing sonic tapestry that interacts with the listener while maintaining a strictly restrained narrative. A motif-driven track that subtly exposes an underlying tension.

B2 “Additive Integration” — best conceptualised within an extended set where the goal is to gradually establish the atmosphere and dictate the rules of the journey. A track built on anticipation, it conserves energy and conceals its inner mechanics until the final acts. It compels the listener to decode its sonic language for full comprehension.

The third chapter of The Third Room's curator-led series is shaped by Verraco, one of the key voices behind a new generation of artists reshaping contemporary club music. Through his productions, DJ sets and his work with TraTraTrax, he has helped define a sound where hybrid forms, rhythmic experimentation and cross-cultural influences are pushing the genre into new territory.

Artist: Various Artists
Title: Curation Three: Verraco
Label: The Third Room
Catalogue: T3R024
Format: Vinyl 12”
Genre: Electronic
Style: #Techno
Release date: August 9, 2026

Tracklist:
1. Substance & Vainqueur - Libration (Stone Version)
2. Skee Mask - Clear Sky 909
3. Verraco - Untitled (Teamgeist Mix) feat. Tils
4. 1morning - Untitled
5. Regal86 - PatumPa

Structured across two distinct sides, the release draws a clear connection between past and present. The A-side leans into a deeper, more classic space, while the B-side moves towards a more forward-facing, hybrid sound.

It opens with Libration (Stone Version) by Substance & Vainqueur, a revisiting of their landmark 2007 release, a track that helped define the language of Dub Techno as it is understood today. Reduced, deep and spatially precise, it established a blueprint for how rhythm, delay and tone could function together. It's presence here acts less as a nod to the past and more as a reminder of a foundation that continues to shape the genre.

Skee Mask's Clear Sky 909 continues this thread, softening the edges without losing depth. Warm, enveloping textures and fluid movement give the track a sense of openness, balancing clarity with emotional weight.

The B-side shifts perspective. On Untitled (Teamgeist Mix), Verraco, joined by Tils, delivers the record's defining moment - a dense, intricately designed piece built on a driving low-end and evolving rhythmic patterns. Elements from Techno, Bass and Leftfield House converge into a detailed, forward-moving structure that actively bridges cultural contexts. It results in a form of dance music shaped by technical precision, but drive.n by a clear sense of intent, marking a distinct expression of Verraco's current sound.

Untitled by 1morning introduces a rolling, tribal-infused groove with a strong sense of depth, while PatumPa by Regal86 closes the record with a bright, loop-driven energy that leans into pure motion.

Across both sides, the release moves between reference and progression. Rather than separating old and new, Verraco connects them - tracing a line from foundational Dub Techno to a more fluid, contemporary club language.

More than two decades later, Live 2 opens the first chapter of Cycles Music, Alexander´s new label. The release follows the same essential impulse: music shaped through performance, tested in real spaces and built to carry the intensity of the live experience.

Featuring two tracks that have been part of Kowalski’s live sets for years, Live 2 brings together material that has already proved its force on dancefloors and festival stages around the world. Direct, driving and deeply atmospheric, the tracks reflect the same independent spirit that has defined his work from the beginning, while placing it firmly in the present.

As the first release on Cycles Music, Live 2 is both a statement of intent and a continuation. It connects past and future without falling into nostalgia, bringing a fragment of Kowalski’s live history into a new context. Raw in energy, precise in form and unmistakably his own, Live 2 sets the tone for a label built on continuity, transformation and forward motion.

An EP marking an impressive label debut, Carmine Portarulo, aka The Southern, lands on Mutual Rytm’s sub- label Spectra with a powerful showcase of his much-loved sound. With the lead track featuring as one of label head SHDW's most requested IDs of the year so far, and packaged alongside outstanding remixes by close label associates Alarico, Temudo and Sciahri, the EP comes having established himself with a sound rooted in old school value and pure techno, favouring energy and authenticity over hype.

The track’s backstory comes from the moment Carmine and his partner found out they were expecting a child and went for their first ultrasound appointment. Overwhelmed by the emotion of the moment and the beauty of what nature is capable of, he returned home and poured those feelings into the music. The result, ‘Ultrasound’, is an anthemic, punchy techno cut with euphoric energy rising up through the synths and its catchy lead melody. Joyful melodies sparkle amid vocal groans, adding a raw emotional pull as the warm, driving drums march on.

Berlin-based artist Alarico is the first to remix on his return to the label, and his ‘Sad Mix’ has a more melancholic mood, with dark chords and tightly programmed drums that bring lo-key funk. Hayes Collective founder Temudo also returns and flips the vibe on his ‘Neuro Interpretation’ with a more psyched-out, twisted tune featuring trippy synths and booming drums for peak-time impact. Italo-Iranian Sublunar Records head Sciahri then drops his trance- inducing, hypotonic ‘Tunnel Vision Mix’, followed by two digital bonuses: ‘The Stripped Mix’, a bouncy workout with futuristic melodies, and Temudo’s ‘Neuro Interpretation 2’, which is raw, textured, and dark.

A lesson in universal love, told via deep club grooves.

When future heads look back at New York nightlife from the mid-2010s onwards, the name Love Injection will stand out.

As historians, stewards and disciples of underground dance music, Barbie Bertisch and Paul Raffaele live and breathe the culture's inclusive, anti-commercial and anti-egotistical ideals. Underlining their myriad pursuits–DJing, promoting, publishing, curation, the list goes on–are ironclad principles destined to cement their legacy.

On RA.1044, the duo keep it real. Recorded spontaneously, it shows off their core palette: timeless Detroit house courtesy of Scott Grooves, leftfield 303 squelches from Magic Mountain High, the classic dub techno of Rhythm & Sound and plenty more besides. It's a living history of Love Injection, delivered with their signature level of passion and care.

DJ SUN makes his debut on ENMŌDA with “Repeat After Me” EP. The release explores repetition as both a musical structure and a social behavior.

Across four tracks, the two artists explore a shared approach to electronic music: minimal, fast-paced and deeply immersive. Built around organic textures, unusual rhythmic patterns and subtle details, the EP moves away from familiar structures and obvious hooks, creating space for something more personal and open-ended.

There is a delicate tension running through SMOKE_TEST. Sounds often sit at the extremes, deep lows, sharp highs, while melodies remain sparse and elusive. Music then feels both intimate and otherworldly.

Bringing Hitam and Kennykrazyworld together felt natural. Both artists share a curiosity for pushing their sound beyond expectations and exploring new forms of expression through club music. Their tracks complement each other effortlessly, forming a cohesive journey that reflects the spirit of PURR.

SMOKE_TEST is a collection of tracks that reveal themselves over time, music made less to grab attention instantly, and more to leave a lasting feeling after the experience.

The Drain Gang cofounder talks about mysticism, Gen Z and his new album, Sulfur Surfer.

Bladee's work as a founding member of the Swedish collective Drain Gang has shaped a new generation of underground music. The group's sound, which is rooted in cloud rap and Auto-Tune experimentation, and pulls from trance, noise, metal, goth and grunge, has earned them an enormous following of fans—AKA "drainers"—overwhelmingly under 30.

Bladee has long been one of Drain Gang's most prominent voices, building a prolific solo career alongside the collective's output. His work engages with mysticism through vulnerable, diaristic lyrics about his state of mind. On his new album, Sulfur Surfer, he presents an autobiographical figure caught between "letting go and holding on"—a continuation of his longstanding interest in spirituality and the occult. He draws on the story of St. George, the Swedish painter Hilma af Klint and the occultism of British group Current 93, whose frontman David Tibet makes a guest appearance.

In this RA Exchange, Bladee talks about making honest music, the role Drain Gang has played in pushing him to find his voice, his ambivalence about fame and his collaboration with Skrillex. Sulfur Surfer is out now on Trash Island. Listen to the episode in full.

A2. Drumzzz
B1. Endless Pattern
B2. Fragments of Us
Digi. Formation
Digi. Mirage Dub

The EP opens with One Touch, a deep and seductive cut enriched by Sueño's distinctive vocal, creating one of those tracks that instantly stays in your head. It then moves into Drummz, driven by dynamic and unpredictable rhythms, refined groove work and a strong sense of movement.

On the flip side, Endless Pattern blends deep, repetitive structures with a balance of modern and old-school influences, before closing the vinyl with Fragments of Us, a track that perfectly captures Clotur’s talent for unique sound exploration, paired with an infectious bassline that lingers long after.

The digital version includes Formation, a more intimate and acid-tinged groove-focused piece, followed by Mirage Dub, a dub-driven cut elevated by Clotur’s personal touch and memorable vocal elements.

With this EP, Clotur further establishes himself as one of the most distinctive and hard-to-replicate artists in the current scene.

The second chapter of The Third Room’s curator-led series is shaped by D.Dan, one of the defining voices of a new generation pushing techno into sharper, more forward-leaning territory. Through his productions, DJ sets and close ties to an emerging network of artists, he has helped shape a sound defined by precision, intensity and subtle experimentation.

Artist: Various Artists
Title: Curation Two: D.Dan
Label: The Third Room
Catalogue: T3R023
Format: Vinyl 12”
Genre: Electronic
Style: #Techno
Release date: August 8, 2026

Tracklist:
1. D.Dan - Bound 05:59
2. Rene Wise - Dynamic
3. Connor Wall - Slither
4. Sunju Hargun & DJ MARIA. - Gensou

For his curation, the focus lies on collaboration and alignment. Rather than presenting a wide spectrum, the release draws a tight circle around a shared sound: one defined by contrast and a strong sense of aesthetic cohesion.

D.Dan’s Bound sets the tone: reduced, warm and controlled, balancing sharp accents with a steady, grounding low-end. On Dynamic, Rene Wise delivers a record’s standout moment: a fluid, rolling tool shaped by subtle disruptions and evolving
tension.

Slither by Connor Wall expands into a more trippy, forward-facing space, while Gensou by Sunju Hargun & DJ MARIA. closes on a fresh, detailed take on acid - understated but effective.

Across all four tracks, the release feels tightly unified - less like a compilation, more like a single body of work shaped from a shared sonic language. Contrast plays a central role: between tension and warmth, control and surprise, functionality and detail. Cohesive and focused, the record feels carved from a single aesthetic, where contrast and small, unexpected shifts drive its momentum.

VEILBORN is freshly launched moniker from Uväll & Pierce for collective expression through sound and performance. After releasing their first EP together last year, they kept working in the studio and naturally found themselves building something beyond occasional collaborations. As friends they've always shared a similar vision, and over time their workflow evolved through studio sessions, exchanging stems, and developing ideas together. This process led them to create VEILBORN as a dedicated outlet for their joint work.

Ryan Elliott has been woven into the fabric of the underground for two decades. The Detroit native and Faith Beat label head cut his teeth back home before relocating to Berlin in 2009, where he became a core member of the Berghain and Ostgut Ton family that helped shape the sound of the contemporary scene. He has always straddled the house and techno divide, merging moods and rhythms from each into his own immersive soundscapes.

Not long after a 12-hour, all-vinyl set at Berghain to mark his 50th birthday, Elliott has now selected an hour of "old, new, rare and unreleased music" and rolled it into a typically smooth selection for us. Warm, fulsome low ends underpin a cool, unhurried mix that slowly dials up the pressure with passionate vocals and playful rhythms. It's the sound of a real master at work.
The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Black Light Smoke. "The Basement (EBM Mix)" comes off the new EP of the same name, forthcoming on Chicago's Death Decay Magic. The release is built around multiple evolutions of a track that has already become a standout in his live sets. An alias of Emmy Award-winning composer, producer, and musician Jordan Lieb, Black Light Smoke operates between house, techno, minimal synth, and post-punk. In its original form The Basement is a tense, driving cut powered by snapping drums, distorted electro synths, and deadpan vocals that lend a cold sense of disillusionment. The ‘Vocal Dub’ strips things back while leaning further into EBM territory through angular rhythms, aggressive synth work, and sleazy undertones sharpened by flashes of cowbell, before the ‘Club Mix’ closes the release in full late-night mode, pairing convulsive drums with frazzled textures and metallic synth pressure for a raw and chaotic finish.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from D Tron X. "Waves of Desolation" is the title track off the new release forthcoming on Bogotá's Complejo Records. The debut LP by D TRON X, the sideproject of Diego Diaz a.k.a. Delectro, dives into the coldest territories of dark electronic music. Conceived and executed exclusively with machines, the release transforms circuits and voltages into palpable emotions, where the mechanical becomes deeply human and desolate.

Throughout the LP, the martial pulses of EBM, analog bass lines, repetitive sequences, and raw rhythmic structures merge with the melancholic textures of darkwave, ethereal synthesizers, somber melodies, and introspective atmospheres, building dense and minimalist sonic landscapes. The LP expands with remixes that add new dimensions to the original concept. Millimetric, a French electro veteran and a key reference of modern EBM, injects power and rhythmic punch, reinterpreting the material from a more Techno-Electro perspective. Meanwhile, Spanish producer Alen Skanner, a prominent figure of the new wave of EBM, pushes the sound into more aggressive and futuristic territory, incorporating his distinctive Cyber Body Music approach.

90 minutes of wistful house from a talented Steel City Dance Discs affiliate—perfect for easing into the night or winding down after the party.

Since Resident Advisor dubbed Pretty Girl "a star in the making" in 2023, the Melbourne DJ has played Coachella, gone viral on Boiler Room, and remixed Romy and Fred Again.. But she’s taken stardom on her own terms. Instead of stadium-ready adrenaline, her sound is a balanced cocktail of UK garage, sugary vocals, and '90s electronica whimsy, finding the sweet spot between the charts and the club.

Her RA Mix perfectly captures this depth of emotion. The lush, unhurried session moves nimbly through Donato Dozzy, Tin Man, and unreleased Pretty Girl goodies. Full of overcast chords and melancholy arpeggios, it’s an exquisite journey that will sound just as good in the club as it will in the taxi home.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Ea Sundström. "DAZED" is the new single from the Swedish composer, producer and sound artist working within dark electroacoustic, industrial and experimental electronic music. Combining cello, live drums, modular synths and raw electronic textures, the music moves between hypnotic techno rhythms, noise, ambient passages and physical acoustic elements. After many years playing within the Swedish punk and rock scene — including performing with INVSN alongside Dennis Lyxzén and Sara Almgren — Ea Sundström now moves further into an
electroacoustic and industrial solo direction.

“DAZED” is an industrial electroacoustic track blending cello, live drums and digital textures into a
rhythmic and uneasy soundscape. The song carries a constant sense of pressure and illusion slowly
falling apart.

The track is taken from the upcoming debut album AN JO, releasing June 12, 2026. Pre-save here:

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Aline Valentina. "Mine Cart Madness" comes off the release, NPC Dream, forthcoming on Schrodinger's Box. The Hague based artist brings eight tracks that map a journey that disregards genre limitations. When it comes to making music, she bends genres to her own sound and vision. Acid, electro, synth wave, vocoders, all are melted to produce a bracing style that is floor focussed and strikingly individual. Today we premiere the EBM encrusted cruelty of "Mine Cart Madness". NPC Dream also includes a big remix from Colombia's Filmmaker.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from L'ONDE NOIRE. "THERAPY!" comes off thew new album, TECH N0IR, forthcoming from the artist. The dark electronic concept album blends underground trance, techno, industrial, futurepop, electro and cyberpunk textures into a hypnotic psychological descent. "THERAPY!| brings aggressive trance energy, pounding techno pressure and ritualistic repetition into the album’s central psychological overload. Built like a mechanized healing ritual collapsing in real time, the track explores failed repair, emotional exhaustion and the invasive authority of systems attempting to regulate the human mind. Hypnotic club intensity and distorted electronic force create a violent search for relief that ultimately pushes consciousness deeper into collapse rather than recovery. Therapy! uses psychological terms as lyrics in order to "mock" how modern psychotherapy results in pain, trauma and ultimately collapse and mental death. Our own "real" therapy is only the dancefloor!

The Third Room launches its new curator-led series with Oscar Mulero, one of techno’s most uncompromising and influential voices. Through decades of releases, DJ sets and his work with PoleGroup, Mulero has helped shape a sound defined by tension, reduction and depth, leaving a lasting mark on contemporary techno culture.

Artist: Oscar Mulero & DVS1
Title: Curation One: Oscar Mulero
Label: The Third Room
Catalogue: T3R022
Format: Vinyl 12”
Genre: Electronic
Style: #Techno
Release date: August 7, 2026

Tracklist:
1. Oscar Mulero - Sonic Synergy
2. Oscar Mulero & DVS1 - Reaction Pair
3. Oscar Mulero & Luigi Tozzi - Seven
4. Oscar Mulero & Isabel Soto - Between the Stars

For this first chapter, he brings together artists who reflect that same discipline and sonic clarity. Rather than focusing on solo authorship, Mulero shifts towards dialogue - connecting with producers who operate within a shared language, while bringing their own distinct perspectives to the record.

He opens with Sonic Synergy, the only solo track: restrained, dub-influenced and immersive, built on warm low-end and gradual development. The centrepiece of the record follows with Reaction Pair, a collaboration with DVS1. Bringing together two of the scene’s most established voices, the track unfolds as a fluid, open construction: a rolling, slightly woobly bassline meets evolving chords that build and dissolve tension in continuous cycles, creating a sense of forward motion without obvious peaks.

Seven, with Luigi Tozzi, introduces a more spatial dimension, merging Tozzi’s atmospheric depth with Mulero’s steady drive. Closing track Between the Stars, with Isabel Soto, leans into a timeless, understated energy - functional without ever becoming forceful.

Across all four tracks, the EP remains consistent in tone: spacious, spheric and focused on long-form movement. As the first entry in the series, it sets a clear direction - reduced, hypnotic techno built for longevity.

A2. Drumzzz

Seven hours of camp, chug and genre-hopping hedonism from techno's two princes of darkness, recorded live at Kyiv's ∄.

Hear the names Hayden Payne, aka Phase Fatale, and Pablo Bozzi, and it might conjure visions of dark techno. As Berghain and KHIDI residents, both artists are synonymous with the heavier strands of misfit dance music.

But Soft Crash, their lockdown-born joint venture, offers something different: making the world's darkest dance floors fun again. RA.1042 is a crash course through the campier ends of the spectrum, pulling from Italo, disco, and house for a mix full of vocals, ascending chords, and bouncy arpeggios.

Clocking in at a gargantuan seven-hour runtime, the mix perfectly balances both of their styles without the energy ever dipping. Swinging for the fences with chuggy, oddball bangers and trance euphoria, the duo weaves tracks from Steffi and Virginia, Goldfrapp, and Junior Jack, alongside climactic Easter eggs from Moby, Madonna, and Underworld. It's the sound of a party you never want to end.

Mathys Lenne is the 490th guest of our original HATE Podcast series.

For this podcast, I wanted to focus on a passage through tension, hypnotic movement, and atmosphere. A selection of tracks shaping my current state of mind and the direction my sound has been evolving toward over the past months. Some of the tracks woven into this journey remain unreleased, quietly connected to a project taking shape behind the scenes and meant to unfold in its own time.

Mathys Lenne crafts techno as a form of tension architecture. Raw, hypnotic and emotionally charged. Through releases on MORD, HAYES or Mutual Rytm, he has developed a singular language where mental intensity meets physical impact. His productions move between hypnotic repetition, cinematic atmospheres and fierce rhythmic pressure, always driven by a strong sense of storytelling. With his last album "The Poet And The Muse" on MORD, Mathys expands that vision even further. Melancholic textures, suspended spaces and visceral grooves coexist in a body of work that feels both intimate and uncompromising, revealing a deeper and more reflective side of his sound. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Mathys approaches techno as a constantly evolving space: immersive, emotional and built to transport. His sets unfold like narrative journeys, balancing tension and release while pushing rhythm to its rawest and most hypnotic form.

1. Kong
2. Mercurial
3. Count
4. Yawhoo
5. Count (Steve Redhead Remix)

Opening with ‘Kong’, the EP sets the tone with an old school spirit reimagined through a contemporary lens. Loopy structures, banging percussions and textured, gritty elements create a hypnotic flow designed for peak-time moments. ‘Mercurial’ raises the intensity, propelled by fast-paced hi-hats and shimmering rides that inject constant motion, while a rolling low end give the track serious weight. A striking Latin vocal lingers throughout, leaving a lasting impression long after the track fades. On the B-side ‘Count’ shifts the energy into a groove led by bongos underpinned by a heavy sub and catchy, repeating vocals that lock into a tight, circular rhythm. ‘Yawhoo’ follows with a punchy kick, rumbling foundation and driving percussion, elevated by a check vocal and a whistle straight out of the 90s rave era, adding a playful, nostalgic edge. The closing track is a remix of ‘Count’ by Steve Redhead, who reinterprets the original with forceful yet hypnotic percussion and finely detailed vocal work. A Belgian techno mainstay since the early 2000s, Redhead is known for his uncompromising, groove-driven sound and lasting influence within the underground.

With this release, Stanz Amor delivers a focused and effective collection built on groove, repetition and dancefloor functionality. Released on Regal’s Backspin Records, a label rooted in the underground and dedicated to honoring techno’s origins while pushing its future, the project balances nostalgia with modern clarity, designed to resonate in clubs and to leave a lasting impact.

The artist returns to her nugabber style with "SAUCE COUTURE" - an acid track built around the unlikely subject of Worcestershire sauce. KYSH-002 brings together four artists representing different shades of the current sound. Opening track "Activ" sees SEIGG return shortly after his solo EP, delivering a signature glitch-driven banger with a powerful, instantly recognizable hook. Alarico follows with "Tears", building emotional tension through his characteristic chopped vocal work and driving arrangement.

On the flipside, Fenim0re's "My Last Descent" shifts into a more restrained, hypnotic territory - a minimal yet groovy tool with a strong sense of forward motion. Closing comes from Toobris with "Zawyeh", a low-end focused cut recalling early 2000s minimal techno aesthetics, reimagined with increased, modern pace.

With KYSH-002, the label solidifies its presence on wax - delivering a focused, high-impact selection from some of the most vivid voices in modern techno.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from exc. "Excise" comes off the new release, Body Without Organs, forthcoming on About Repetition. With "body without organs“, exc continues its long-term project „exc.directory“ – a four-part journey through control, belief, language, and dissolution. Where Seductive Supervision dissected the mechanisms of power, this second chapter shifts its gaze inward, to what remains of the subject when every structure, every identity, every function has been removed.

Seven tracks, seven surgical interventions into the self. "bwo“ opens with excise: broken breaks, cutting frequencies, the body loses its contours, dissolving layer by layer in rhythm. Not dance, but a surgical emptying of movement – sound as an operation on the self, experimental drum 'n' bass that does not drive the body, but dismantles it. .excerpt leads further into industrial spaces, where metal meets breath and the boundary between man and machine begins to flicker.

Portugal's Dextro returns for the second EP of stylish deep techno on Mutual Rytm with ‘Planets And Stars’.

7. Historia da Vida
8. Ghost Particles

Dextro’s tunes have long been a staple of Mutual Rytm label head SHDW's sets, with the esteemed veteran previously landing on the label with his ‘Covil Dos Abutres’ EP last year. His return with ‘Planets And Stars’ features a selection of his most requested IDs from recent times, with the Portuguese DJ/producers featuring as a longstanding favourite within the European underground since the 90s through his stripped-back,
economical sound that is rooted in masterful design and intuitive grooves. He is a true studio craftsman, whether going deep or more destructive, and that range is on show here as he makes a splash for his sophomore outing. SHDW notes, “‘Planets And Stars’ feels like his most refined and focused work to date. It also further strengthens our relationship, rooted in a shared vision and values around music and how it should be presented.”

The EP kicks off with the heavyweight ‘1000 Places’, a track that will rattle walls as eerie synth whispers and sonar blips snake through the mix. ‘Industria Acéfala’ is just as hypnotic with a deep blend of rolling bass and
rooted kicks, while unsettling tension comes in the one-note synth loops and scratchy texture. ‘Planets and Stars’ provides an intergalactic trip with cosmic dust, conscious spoken words and an infinite horizon that has
you gazing off into the distance. The all-consuming ‘Perpendicular’ is shadowy with impish motifs darting about the mix as watery droplets fall into cavernous kicks. ‘Winter Letter’ is the final 12”cut and is perfectly deep, linear techno with gorgeous ambient details that turn your thoughts inwards. Three digital bonuses expand the trip: ‘Torresmos com Pão’ is unsettling and sparse, ‘Historia da Vida’ ramps up the tension with oversized hi-hats and rising synth turbulence and finally ‘Ghost Particles’ has shimmering bell sounds evoking a spooky moon-lit church in the dead of night.

Techno heavyweights Function and Nastia Reigel first came together over a shared love of early, rave-leaning and transcendental grooves. After months swapping tunes from both the old and the new school, they got to work in the studio and, in May, dropped their Devocion EP on Dekmantel. The four tracker explores broody and melancholic techno that is doused in emotion with plenty of shadowy atmosphere and deep rolling rhythms.

Off the back of that, they have now put together a mix that explores this world even further with tracks from the likes of Donato Dozzy and Regis, plus two from their own EP. The drums are quick and the mixing is tight as the pair seamlessly traverse sounds that veer from the futuristic to the psychoactive. It's colourful techno that goes way beyond pure body music.

Entirely unreleased, undeniably funky techno.

Charles Accarisi, AKA Chlär, treats techno like a science. From his earliest days as an audio engineer, the Lisbon-via-Switzerland artist has approached techno with the precision of a seasoned experimentalist, dissecting our love of listening to kick drums in dark, sweaty clubs down to its very bones.

Before launching his label, Primal Instinct, in 2023, he dug deep, building its foundation on neuroscience studies exploring syncopation and bass frequencies. Yet, for all its academic rigor, Accarisi's music remains incredibly funky.

You can hear this endless pursuit of groove in his DJ sets. His productions flit across the techno continuum with similar versatility. One minute, as half of Funk Assault, he's flipping a Beastie Boys vocal into a 140-BPM weapon; the next, he aims straight for the head, trading peak-time bacchanalia for the haunted hypnotism of the afterhours.

RA 1041 is all of this and more. Composed entirely of unreleased tracks, it delivers 70 minutes of heads-down techno in its purest form. It's heavy and dark, for sure, but undeniably swung, seamlessly bridging dub techno and sweat-inducing hardgroove throwbacks. This is contemporary techno synthesized by a master chemist.

1. Skyland
2. Infinity Drift
3. Stimulus
4. Impulse

‘Skyland’ asserts itself first with impressive pace. Swift chord stabs open and close to create waves of excitement and craze in the track while percussion shuffles along to add impact; Cirkle is an artist of all rooms and dimensions. Shrill sound design cuts through the stereo field creating a wormhole in the middle of rhythmic determination. Tension balance and anticipation are his specialty and every transition whips his dispersed elements into singularity in the EP, specifically the title track. A truly musical piece that embraces the crowd with vintage warmth, ‘Infinity Drift’ tones down the dissonance in exchange for something closer to astral exploration. These larger than life themes are never lost on dancers and serve to unify the dancefloor into an organism instead of pushing sound system violence. This is a theme that is omnipresent in Cirkle’s music and carried through into ‘Stimulus’. Here, the Greek producer dips into the hypnotic bordering on psychotic, stretching arpeggios and delays across drum transitions and time. The dimension of ‘Stimulus’ matches the preceding tracks with ease, but stands out in its effect, rolling a powerful synth through reliably tuned percussion. For the final track, ‘Impulse’ sees Cirkle prioritizing the importance of drums. Pressing hard on the drive of the kick, rides and filtered claps squeeze their way out of the low end to create an infectious groove. Stabs of ethereal pads envelope the rest of the EP, leaving space for the rest to breathe. Bumping along the way, Cirkle lands the EP with class, cementing himself further as an artist whose knowledge of the dancefloor creates a singular experience.

TECH040, titled INTRO, is a functional exploration of electronic music’s most delicate moments. The concept was born from Nastia’s personal experience as a globally touring DJ, identifying a distinct gap in the modern market: a scarcity of sophisticated, atmospheric tracks specifically designed to set the tone during the first minutes of a performance.

This compilation is more than just a collection of tracks; it is a professional toolkit. From deep hypnotism to restrained energy, each contribution has been meticulously selected for its ability to prepare the space and the audience for the journey ahead.

Conceived as a functional extension of the DJ set, the "INTRO" series explores the moments that frame the dancefloor experience. Focused on beginnings and endings, each release navigates the subtle tension between anticipation and resolution – from the first pulse that opens a space, to the final echoes that dissolve it. Stripped of excess and driven by intent, the series reflects a deeper layer of Techno: not just as a peak-time tool, but as a language of transition, atmosphere and control.

The record, bringing together techno legends and contemporary tastemakers around the art of the "opening set," featuring the long-awaited production debut of the label head herself.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Kai Stein. "The Maze Man" comes off the new EP forthcoming on KLANCK. For the label's fourth release, Klanckman has invited Kai Stein for a strong 7 track EP containing eclectic styles with a very distinct sound of the artist that is recognisable really quickly.

Kai Stein: 'In this EP I showed my techno influenced side. I love raw and heavy vibes so Klanck Records is the perfect label to showcase these tracks. For me using a lower bpm then most techno tracks, makes the music even stronger and heavier which is were I aim for. Enjoy!'

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Swarm Intelligence. "Inner Brilliance" comes off the new EP, Containment Field, forthcoming on OMEN Recordings. The label returns with its 64th release, welcoming Irish-born, Berlin-based artist SWARM INTELLIGENCE for his debut appearance on the label. Presented on vinyl, the release showcases his singular sonic vision—what OMEN describes as “broken cyberpunk ritual mechanical techno.” Complementing the original material are remixes from pioneering rhythmic noise duo ORPHX and OMEN label heads AXKAN and DUELLIST. Together, the release traverses crushing industrial textures, fractured rhythms, and driving passages of eerie uplift, while remaining firmly rooted in the broken industrial techno aesthetic that defines OMEN Recordings.

His mini album “Bloom” offers a fresh reinterpretation of old-school foundations. Blending early 2000s influences with contemporary techno aesthetics, the record delivers a modern edge while remaining rooted in the fundamentals - driving rhythms, percussion-heavy grooves, and powerful low-end energy. Rich chords and atmospheric pads add emotional depth, shaping a distinctive and immersive sonic identity.

Spanning eight tracks, “Bloom” moves effortlessly from peak-time intensity to ambient textures and functional club tools, capturing the full spectrum of Aleeks’s sound and providing versatility for every moment of the night.

“Bloom” will be released on June 5, 2026, on vinyl and digital formats.
