Techno Podcasts

The star of São Paulo chops up 60 minutes of futuristic, global club sounds.

It's an oft-heard cliché to describe an artist as truly singular. But with Roniere Santos, AKA RHR, it couldn't be more true. Part of a generation of Brazilian and Latin American artists reshaping club music, Santos and his peers have propelled it to unprecedented global reach. His sets—fearsome, bass-driven and unbound by BPM—have made him essential at some of the world's most forward-thinking clubs and festivals, from Horst to Berghain to Gop Tun.

Behind the decks, his radical approach is both audible and felt through the body, driven by uncanny beatmatching and fluid harmonic mixing. Sonically, he pairs a knowledge of sound design with restless curiosity about music spanning continents and subcultures—evident in this recording, where Brazilian rap meets maqam-inspired melodies and breakbeat sections blend with deconstructed baile funk loops.

And while his reach is now global, Santos remains inseparable from São Paulo. It's where he found his footing: from his first residency at Tantša, to belonging at Mamba Negra, to the foundations of an international career.

For RA.1035, RHR crosses all the ground you might imagine—trance pads, dreamy pan flutes, post-dubstep, baile funk—with a menacing and seductive energy, a sense of discovery lurking behind every track.

Continuing to expand its creative world, SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint now introduces ‘Versus’ - a new sub- label crafted for creative symbiosis between two artists across one shared release. Opening the series with authority, Regent and Chontane man the debut offering - two close friends and native Berliners who have been shaping techno for more than 15 years. Both long-standing members of the Mutual Rytm family, having released multiple times here before, the pair have always created music informed by life immersed in their local scene. Having both mutually influenced one another over the years, here they present their shared interpretation of techno with individual artistic DNA, forming a unified sound that represents the best of both worlds.

Regent goes first, leaning towards functional, anthemic, dance-floor-focused techno. ‘Ephemera’ is tight, minimal but forceful; ‘Slow Burn’ has synth tension rising through the dark, next to glitchy percussion; and ‘Afterglow’ lets in more light, bringing otherworldly synths that hang above the groove and consume your focus.

Chontane then explores a more musical and unconventional approach. ‘Plaxaric’ is supple, warm, and deep techno that tunnels into an abyss. ‘Grounding Factor’ is just as economical in design, but with introverted funk and evolving layers of sound. ‘Mental Lab’ spins out into complex rhythms inspired equally by IDM, jungle, and techno. It’s a mental workout as well as a physical one.

Both artists add a pair of digital bonus tracks. Regent’s ‘Control Room’ and ‘Rarely Enough’ deliver elevated, hypnotic tools, before Chontane’s ‘Escore’ and ‘Outside In’ bring extroverted drum patterns along with contrasting melodic unease.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from HKKPTR. "PUT UR F UP" comes off the new EP, EDM IS THE NEW TRANCE, forthcoming on Italy's AnGelZ. Stripping back the layers of European club history to find the soul hidden within the noise, "EDM IS THE NEW TRANCE" reinterprets the aggressive DNA of European rave culture, deconstructing its frantic power into a heavy, slow-motion fever dream.

Essential listen for those who miss the hypnotic simplicity of early raves and the days of dancing Tecktonik to cellphone speakers, but crave the dark sophistication of the present, the EP serves as a love letter to the raw energy of the early 2000s and the subcultures that defined a generation.

By blending EDM, Hardstyle, Complextro and Lento Violento, HKKPTR creates a unique "industrial-sludge" vibe, proving that the spirit of the 2000s is still very much alive.

The musical polymath talks creative left turns, the collapse of music media and her new album as Avalon & the Charm, Written into Changes.

A decade after her first feature appearance in Resident Advisor, Avalon Emerson returns for a long-form chat about the arc of her career and her surprising left turn towards indie pop. After leaving a successful career in coding in the early 2010s, the American DJ and producer became, seemingly overnight, a headline act touring the world's best clubs. By 2016, she was one of the most vital voices in underground dance music: a regular at Panorama Bar, a master of art of the eight-hour set and an artist releasing tracks that defined an era of emotive techno.

Recently, Emerson has surprised fans and critics by making yet another unexpected pivot as Avalon & the Charm. After debuting the dream pop band in 2023, she's back with the second album, Written into Changes, leaning even further into songwriting, live instrumentation and collaborations across the music spectrum.

In this candid conversation, she unpacks the new release—the vulnerability of lyrics exploring regret, setbacks and love lost—alongside the financial realities of performing as a live act. She also reflects on the leap of faith it takes to change course in public, her move from Berlin to a more balanced life in upstate New York and the "meat grinder" of the modern music industry, including the state of music journalism today.

Powering up the Korg Electribe for another addition to the anticipated EMX Series, Phara conjures up five immersive tracks showcasing power and depth on his very own PHAAAR imprint. After touring with the groovebox and making it a centerpiece to his sound and statement, EMX Series PT. III sees the Belgian artist burn circuits to deliver impactful drums and vast soundscapes in live shows pressed on wax. The EP details not only Phara's sound as a producer, but the high pressure club experience of his live performances.

The EP starts off with a solid foundation in ‘Strike3’ as is only appropriate for Phara; a swift bassline cuts through string stabs, creating an imposing on-beat rhythm. Gripping the listener’s attention from the beginning, the Electribe outputs an identifiable fullness to add a vintage edge to a modern record. These themes continue through EMX Series PT. III and emphasize the bridge between power and warmth that Phara constructs. ‘Sequenced’ takes over as the second chapter - stuttering plucked synths create structural integrity to a spiraling track that descends into deliria. Massive pads break up the rhythm to reveal a deep euphoric undertone before collapsing back into heavy swing through ecstatic percussion rolls. Building and deconstructing, tension remains insistent throughout the project to underline intense dancefloor stretches. The B side honors the A side in this, as ‘Pine Barrens’ loads up a haunting main synth that centers the track, covering a wide range of octaves while throwing out open hi hats and rides to double down on the attitude. Noise and delay feedback carpet the ambience of the track, adding dynamic to every section and emphasizing the transitions. ‘Static Field’ steps into the deeper side of things, keeping the lead slightly lower to the ground and swiping through ambient synth work. The percussion remains directive as Phara’s kick booms through the record, bursting with metallic stabs and various sequences to keep the track rolling on into the final part of the release. ‘Intro’ then steps out of rigid structure with a percussionless noise outro. Ringing bells persist through static waves of ambiance to ease the energy down while maintaining the same level of anticipation as the preceding tracks. Phara then draws EMX Series PT. III to a close on a powering down Electribe, bringing the ringing intensity of his sound to silence.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Myles Sergé. "And When the Sky Was Opened" comes off the new EP off the same name forthcoming on Michigan-based imprint MS. Founded by Myles Sergé, (MS) continues to spotlight refined, analogue-driven techno, following contributions from artists such as Dustin Zahn, Lester Fitzpatrick, Gonzalo MD, Philippe Petit, and Rennie Foster. Here, Myles delivers two new originals, expanding on a catalogue that also spans labels like Ilian Tape, Metamorphic, Kneaded Pains, and Another Earth.

On the flip, Jamie Bissmire, known as one half of Space DJz and a founding member of Bandulu, adds his signature touch. With a long-standing legacy across labels including CLR, Synewave, Soma, and NovaMute, Bissmire brings a contrasting yet complementary energy to the release.

The release is out April 17. Get it at: https://mylesserge.bandcamp.com/music
A maximalist sprint through IDM and acid from the Filipino DJ, producer and lore magnet.

Ramon Tambucon is, in his own words, "an EDM trap oldhead" through and through. But he takes his work seriously: on TikTok, the LA-based artist has become Gen Z's de-facto electronic music historian, equally at home with Mark Fisher and Skrillex, and has even featured in Forbes discussing IDM.

His world extends beyond content, too, obviously. Tabula Rasa, a platform with Jozef White that blends editorial, releases and showcases, has helped document scenes like California's UK garage wave, and Pang's records show a fine-tuned ear for melody.

RA.1034 is bright, buoyant and borderline ecstatic. When Pang's own "Forest Volt" hits early, it practically wriggles out of the speakers; from there he snaps between newcomers like Kooxla, '90s Belgian deep cuts from Gerome Sportelli and Burial, with bird calls, flutes and cascading chords flaring over heavy low-end and lightning-fast breaks.

Tracklist:
A1. Forgotten Heroes
A2. Concentrate
B1. Forte
B2. Soft Killer
B3. Wild Magic

The title track 'Forgotten Heroes' sets the EP in motion with a sense of controlled urgency. A rolling, slightly break-tinged groove pushes forward relentlessly, while an eerie, almost nostalgic synth melody hovers in the background, giving the track an emotional pull. 'Concentrate' shifts the focus inward_ bleeping motifs, tight claps and restless hi-hats circle around spoken fragments that feel like thoughts caught between the peak of the night and the quiet hours before sunrise. On the B-side, 'Forte' accelerates into pure momentum: sharp, bleep-led sequences and forward pressure combine into a rush that feels like racing through the city at night. 'Soft Killer' deepens the mood with a darker, dominant edge, its stripped back power and razor-sharp sounds cutting clean through the mix. Closing track ‘Wild Magic’ offers a final release of tension, slowing the pace into a lighter, more house-leaning groove. Warm pads and a catchy, uplifting melody bring a sense of air and openness, letting the EP drift out on a hopeful, almost euphoric note.

Regal's comeback EP 'Forgotten Heroes' stands as a personal statement and a cornerstone release for Backspin. It's techno built on groove, contrast and character, made to leave a lasting impression on the dancefloor.

The lost art of the slow burn, courtesy of the rising London house DJ.

In an attention economy, where hype cycles rise and fall faster than ever, our careers, our lives and our club nights are increasingly structured around instant gratification. But not Isaac Carter. The London artist's approach to DJing is understated and unhurried. You'll still find his RA Mix charged with serious bursts of pleasure (wait for the rattling subs to hit on Alexander Skancke's "You Get a Two" or the soaring pads on Sterac's "Mysterium"), but RA.1033 is a patient exploration of the deeper shades of house, and it's technically perfect—there isn't a single hi-hat out of place for its near two-hour run time.

Technical prowess aside, what's most impressive is his sense of groove. There are shifts in energy, including a distinctly after hours section about halfway in, but this is a session that could go on forever. It's a fautless soundtrack to ease us into a spring of swing.

'This podcast is a live one take in the studio, using the same tools I use live in a club, Octatrack, 909, a small modular. The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Extase Urbaine. With roots in the Amsterdam DIY scene, versatile act Extase Urbaine seamlessly crosses genres, past and present, blending everything from techno and electro to breaks and trance-y explorations, or, as he aptly describes it, ‘body music for all bodies’.

As a strong proponent of a more open and diverse music scene, in 2016 he co-founded HDE, a collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of underground clubbing. HDE nights quickly became among Amsterdam’s most recognized parties, known for their multidisciplinary approach to the dance floor.

While DJing remains his true passion, Extase put himself on the map with his debut EP, 'Sacred Winds,' on the NYC-based label Samo. The release has garnered attention for delving into the darker realms of leftfield techno.

The EP opens with Oak, a minimal yet driving and atmospheric piece, before moving into Invert, a powerful track built around a unique and relentless escalation of tension. On the B-side, Equals sets the tone with growing intensity and hypnotic vocals that carry a story meant to be experienced until the very end. Construct follows with darker, more obscure vibes, delivering a deeply hypnotic and mental atmosphere, before the EP concludes with The End, a truly mystical journey that captures the essence of an artist able to transform sound into narrative.

The digital version also includes two exclusive tracks: Escape This, a groovy and shadowy cut, and Batstak, driven by striking sound design that unmistakably reflects Connor Wall’s signature sonic identity.

1. Reducing Valve
2. Transfigured
3. Sensory Reset
4. Inner Radiance

An artist for artists with true commitment to his sound, Steven Petit’s impact in the studio and behind the decks is admired by anyone who has done their homework. His music describes tight pressure under curious, modular-like sequences that stretch through the timeline of each track. The scale of minimalism remains key here, and the Belgian wastes no time when tunneling through his erratic tracks. Jazz-like dissonance drives his tension and although each element is carefully measured, the records truly command dancefloors. ‘Inner Radiance’ is no different. The Fuse resident takes his game one step further, pushing harmony to hysteria at every turn.

The EP skips foreplay and dives straight into the extremities of Border One’s sound. In ‘Reducing Valve’, sustain is the key ingredient to this chaos. Slowly ripping the synth sequence into chords, Border one maintains a firm hold on the track’s tension while remaining playful with the main theme. ‘Sensory Reset’ is more of a lurker with its shifting pad that spreads across the stereo image. This track is characterized by a grim urgency as opposed to its predecessor’s progressive spiral. Keeping things low to the groove, the A2 swings about satisfyingly while Border One tinkers at his 909 constructions. Continuing his work on resonance, ‘Transfigured’ balances obscurity and surrealism. With a sequencer on the loose and a drum machine to emphasize it, the Fuse resident guides his audience into twists and turns at a constant pace. Here, we explore the dichotomy between the warmth and cold of a modular sound in techno, something frequently done but rarely mastered. Border One puts his years of experience to work to provide a combination of flair and balance to his tracks, something that is clearly translated in this EP. Of course, the final track - the title track - ‘Inner Radiance’ brings something very special to the table. The power of simplicity can never be underestimated and Petit knows just how to use it. With a strong core to an already sturdy track, the conclusion is spectacular. Emphasizing the electrifying nature of the record, Border One adds vintage chord stabs that fit right in with the sharp lead to create a powerful and memorable dancefloor experience. Not as much of a wind-down more than it is a gripping cliff hanger for his future releases, Border One provides once more an EP that underlines the true ethos of techno music.
The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Keepsakes. "Ready2BeginWot?" comes off the new EP, Dystopian Euphoria, forthcoming on New Zealand's HAVEN imprint. The label co-founder is finally back on his own imprint with 5 fresh originals filled to the brim with warped alien sound design, driving and grooving drum rhythms, and acerbic track titles fresh out of a twisted after-hours chat. Following on from releases in recent years on KAOS/OAKS, Turbo Recordings, Perc Trax, and Boys Noize Records, this latest EP maintains his signature toughness alongside his fun and quirky sound choices while taking his sound further in to jacking and groovy territory.

Selva marks Blue Hour's first full-length studio album, weaving a lifetime of influences into a cohesive narrative inspired by ancient wisdom and forgotten worlds. The eight-track double LP transforms his inner dialogue into a subconscious story pulling inspiration from a labyrinthine network of influence and experience. “I followed the music obsessively, reflecting and refining until the story revealed itself,” Standing explains. “To me, the LP evokes Amazonian or Mayan jungles, themes of exploration, the mysteries of the natural world, wisdom passed down through generations. I didn't set out to write about these things consciously, they just emerged on their own.” he adds.

The album was shaped through intensive work in his studio and periods spent in subtropical locations. Listening closely, Selva unfolds like a modern ceremony: the opening tracks channel his early UK dance influences, shifting into blends of traditional and contemporary techno, then expanding into melodic soundscapes before concluding with transcendental textures and atmospheres. The result is an introspective journey where functionality and emotive storytelling coexist, revealing a depth in Blue Hour we haven’t heard before.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Ledeni. "Baron" comes off the new v/a Ignorantia, forthcoming on GNOS records. Opening track "Framework" reduces techno to its core: a rigid rhythmic architecture built on minimal elements and relentless forward motion, defining space, pressure, and momentum. "Entropy' then destabilizes this system, introducing an unpredictable melodic sequence that slowly dissolves cohesion, as tension builds and control erodes from within.

On remix duties, Julieta Kopp delivers a forceful reinterpretation of "Framework". The Argentinian artist, resident at Buenos Aires Under Club and released on Clergy, Soma, and Dynamic Reflection, amplifies the track's hypnotic drive and raw physicality, reinforcing its functionality for peak-time environments. Marcus L, founder of Faust Seoul with releases on Planet X, reshapes "Entropy" into a deeper, more immersive form. His remix expands the track's sense of spatial decay, emphasizing atmosphere, pressure, and gradual disintegration while maintaining a
controlled, club-focused flow.

In addition to the digital release, the EP will also be available as a special limited-edition cassette tape, hand-numbered and produced in a strictly limited run, a physical extension of the series' conceptual and functional approach.

UNTOLD SERIES II stands as a precise and uncompromising techno release, engineered for the floor, rooted in concept, and driven by system-based sound design.

'90s nostalgia, big beat and bargain-bin house courtesy of the NYC dance-pop duo.

Fcukers don't really care about success. Or at least, that's how it started. "We don't give a shit. We're not going to have a music career. Who cares? We're going to do exactly what we want," Jackson Walker Lewis told Rolling Stone, recalling the duo's early mindset. The origin of their name, lifted from the iconoclastic slogan that defined a generation of anti-fashion kids, is a fitting touch for a duo transforming '90s nostalgia into something distinctly modern.

That irreverence still runs through Lewis and Shanny Wise. Indie kids turned club kids, Fcukers draw from big beat, filter house, dance punk, drum & bass, reggae and dub. Their rise has been swift, catching ears across music and fashion circles alike — including Hedi Slimane, who flew them to Paris to soundtrack a show afterparty.

Behind the attitude is a genuine education in dance music lineage, an instinct that's since drawn the attention of artists like Charli XCX and Tiga. Their RA Mix channels the wide-eyed optimism of an era they clearly hold dear. And with debut album Ö landing this week, success seems to have found them all the same.

The A side focuses on intensity. “Aesthetic Descent” features dual synth lines, slipping between melody and atonality. The straightforward percussion allows the listener to focus on the everchanging dynamics in the leads. “Structural Obedience” begins with a chugging groove, out of which a buzzsaw synth emerges. This track is a display of Uun’s ability to walk the line between minimalism and maximalism.

The B side focuses on the interplay between melody and groove. “Ralph’s Track” channels the dub chords of Basic Channel while applying a modern edge. “The Hidden System” features the lone vocal on the EP, sampled from the work of the late great David Lynch. The interplay between the ⅞ lead synth and 4/4 percussion creates a feeling of anticipation, where the patterns develop in unpredictable ways.

The digital exclusive tracks go into more experimental territory. “Queen’s Chamber” is a broken beat dirge, consisting of reverb drenched percussion and synths reminiscent of Dead Can Dance. The final track, “Shokunin”, is the counterpoint to Aesthetic Descent, closing out the release on a crushing yet hopeful note.

The EP is also released on vinyl, pressed onto a unique custom turquoise and black hand poured color mix record inside a full printed jacket. The evocative artwork was created by Minneapolis based graphic designer Ryote.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Ayra. Based in Madrid, Ayra is a DJ and producer whose connection with electronic music began at an early age. Over the years, she has refined her artistic identity, evolving her sound into a more personal and forward-thinking direction.

Known for her energetic sets and dynamic, fast-paced mixing style, her musical journey now explores minimal-inspired textures, while still maintaining a deep-rooted connection to techno. Her sets are defined by distinctive sounds, vocal elements, and immersive atmospheres that balance groove, experimentation, and dancefloor impact.

This recent shift reflects a conscious evolution in her artistic path, embracing a fresher, more minimal approach while preserving the essence and attitude of the techno scene that shaped her.

The selection further sharpens the Vibrant sound: a fierce brand of techno characterized by deep, driving basslines, whispered vocal fragments, and granulated textures. Each producer brings a unique perspective to our cohesive universe, resulting in a record that feels both hypnotic and visceral.

By moving to vinyl, Vibrant is honoring the roots of the culture while pushing a forward-thinking, conceptual production style. These are ten tracks of high-tension techno, built to be felt as much as heard, now captured in the warmth and depth of the analog format.

The release is shaped by a fusion of familiar faces and fresh perspectives. Vibrant's own Fran LF and Sinergy return alongside Arta Fact, Seigg, and Voicex, while the label extends its reach by welcoming SLV, Ponky, Kaltblume, Conntex, and Yazmin to an ever-evolving creative roster.

DJ Rush is without a doubt one of techno’s most colorful artists. Born in Chicago, he forged his identity through a unique "rhythmic & drums" signature — relentless shuffle beats and pounding percussions that could be recognized instantly. No one delivered that groove quite like Rush.

But it wasn’t only the drums that defined his sound. His raw, ruthless vocals became just as iconic, whether shouted live over the microphone during his DJ sets or pressed into his legendary releases, which quickly turned into highly sought-after vinyl among techno collectors worldwide.

The major breakthrough came at I Love Techno 2001, where Rush delivered what many still consider one of the most unforgettable "Hard Techno" sets ever played. The recording of that night circulated widely — distorted, rough and heavier than anything heard before. Rush pushed every track to the limit, running the turntables at +8 pitch, far beyond what most techno DJs dared to play.

This raw intensity helped shape the sound that would later be known as Schranz, in its pure underground form. In the early 2000s, a whole generation of German hard techno was driven by DJ Rush like never before.

In 2001, Rush also received the "German Dance Music Award", further cementing his status as one of the most influential figures in European techno.

25 years later, Exos, founder of Planet X and an old friend of Rush, was listening to an early 2000s DJ Rush mix while walking in the park when something unexpected caught his ear — an unknown Rush track buried inside the mix. After digging deeper, it became clear that the track had never been released.

Rush later managed to locate the original DAT tape in his archive and delivered the lost recording. Together they decided it was time to finally bring the track to light, accompanied by a remix package from some of techno’s finest artists, each offering their own interpretation of this hidden gem.

“Strasse E” is dedicated to the legendary club Strasse E in Dresden, one of Rush’s favorite venues — and remarkably, a club that is still open today.

A long-lost treasure from the golden era finally resurfaces.

Hailing from Barcelos, Portuguese maestro Lewis Fautzi has carved out a formidable reputation through a run of uncompromising releases and a sound rooted in tension, precision and raw power - exemplified by his recent outing on the agenda-setting Hayes Collective. He has previously established his fierce, potent sound on Soma, PoleGroup, Mord, and a number of other influential labels, while also heading up Faut Section. Having previously appeared on Mutual Rytm’s Federation Of Rytm III compilation under his Non Cyclic alias, he now steps out on SHDW’s label with a six-tracker busting full of impactful techno cuts.

The heavily-requested ‘Beneath The Surface’ opens the EP with menacing low-end and tightly coiled pressure that's released through simmering valves and hissing synths. ‘The Hollow Cycle’ brings a loopy, tunnelling groove with a snaking lead and snaking metallic percussion, while ‘Inner Mechanism’ keeps things dark, deep and driving with a backlit glow that pulls you in. ‘Nonlinear Form’ is streamlined deep techno that fizzes with texture, spraying chords and a rumbling sub-bass, while closer ‘Anamorph’ rides meticulously designed broken beats with an ever-present sense of bass-driven foreboding. For digital purchasers, sparse and eerie bonus ‘Surface’ slams down with industrial weight and real warehouse grit, shaping up another weighty offering for the label.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from BONDE and Ursula Prawn. "Cariñosas (Lemane Remix)" comes off tnew EP, Lost Moment, forthcoming on NACHTMUSIK. The third release in Nachtmusik’s regular catalog. Lost Moments EP is a six-track record by BONDE that drifts through the hazy space between memory and present time.

Rooted in old-school techno and acid aesthetics, the EP carries a distinct 90s spirit: raw machines, stripped-back percussion, and the subtle melancholy of sounds that feel both distant and familiar. There is an undeniable scent of nostalgia throughout the record, echoing an era when dancefloors were darker, simpler, and built around the raw, unpolished energy of music.

Warsaw’s Jurek Przeździecki, aka Praecox, fuses abstraction with dancefloor intensity. On this record, tension, groove, and subtle emotion weave into a club-focused yet expansive narrative - acid-tinged motifs, rolling subs, and textured synth layers crafting immersive sonic spaces for both peak-time impact and deep listening.

Opening track, Large Kimono, sets the tone immediately: arpeggios surge and retreat in a restless rave-like momentum, anchored by a sense of harmonic balance. From there, Lorenz Attractor expands the scope, weaving Brazilian favela vocals into rolling percussion and a deep, kinetic bassline. Warm analog chords meet raw emotional edge, crafting a dancefloor architecture that feels both intimate and expansive. Funeral Buddy collapses time, conjuring a 1968 bar scene. Haunting, playful synths twist around a voice that blends memory and imagination. Film Dilema plays with narrative illusion. Voices pull the listener into a movie that never existed, while a feral, galloping bassline drives the track relentlessly forward. On System Combi, acid melodies crash into robotic chants, while fractured percussion tears through colliding sonic worlds. Type Person turns inward, offering a darker inversion of dancefloor energy. A pounding trance framework supports atonal fragments and echoing, almost prehistoric textures. The album closes with Page Not Found, a paradoxical finale. Raw rhythm meets a fragile arpeggio, unfolding with deceptive simplicity.

Taken as a whole, the album is a study in contrast and continuity: physical yet introspective, precise yet unruly. It reinforces Praecox’s position as an artist unconcerned with trends, focused instead on building immersive electronic worlds that hit hard on the dancefloor while offering layered detail for those who dive in.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Jaxe. His new album 'Metamorphing' revolves around synthetic drum programming, noise-driven distorted basslines, synth-heavy, trance-like epic harmonies topped with mechanical arpeggios. Today we present his second single "Scars Run Deep", a powerful track that combines aggressive bassline patterns with overloaded distortion and deep, spacey atmospheric pads that counterbalance the heavy drums and low-frequency elements.

Out April 1st on Jaxe's label Mixed Feelings: https://jaxe.bandcamp.com

Alfred Anders is the sort of character every good local scene needs—collector, curator, connector, risk-taker. This week, we get a taste of his mix, cruising at 110 BPM on the slower fringes of club music. A journey through trippy, outer-space spacelines and wonderfully weird grooves, moving from early ’80s house and tribal vibes to New Beat and Proto-Techno, all anchored by his Belgian sound as a guiding red thread.

Behind the decks, he is one of the main arteries of the Brussels music scene and nightscape, digging deep for unknown gems that move, entrance, and intrigue. In 10 years time he built up Crevette Records to be a globally recognized and respected record shop, in addition to co-orchestrating some of Brussels’ most sought-after events.
A key architect of the 2020s underground debuts on the RA Mix.

Scroll through end-of-year features or the tracklists of a certain kind of new-school techno DJ, and Priori is rarely far away. The Montreal artist has built a reputation as a kind of studio chameleon, working with the biggest names across the underground. Whether it be james K, Tiga or Paul St. Hilare, or his work co-running naff recordings, his output will be familiar to any raver who has touched grass at the likes of Sustain-Release, Dekmantel or Waking Life in recent years.

The "Priori touch" is easy to spot. It shapeshifts as you listen: strange, synthetic textures, enveloping low-end, everything draped in a fine silk gauze that seems to hover just above the surface. But for all its hallmarks, it's also deeply versatile. Priori is prog, Priori is dub, sometimes Priori is even pop. Just as you think you've grasped his sound, it slips away.

This is by design. Priori takes inspiration from myriad genres and mediums—as likely to be moved by an obscure illbient 12-inch as a Wong Kar-wai film. "I love world-building," he once told Butter Sessions, and that instinct lends his productions a sense of richness.

Making his long-overdue debut on the RA Mix, Priori opens the door to the chillout room. RA.1031 is built on thick, enveloping bass and atmospheric drift, as dub, prog and electronica cuts are folded together with ease. Who knows what thrilling new forms await in the future.

Deetron is the 481st guest of our original HATE Podcast series.

For over three decades, Sam Geiser has shaped the landscape of House and Techno in ways that are impossible to overstate. With a catalog spanning timeless classics and influential releases, he has firmly established him as one of the most musically sophisticated producers in the game. Recently, Sam has also reignited his Techno persona SOULMATE, delivering a string of irresistibly body-moving releases on the iconic Ilian Tape.

There are artists who are extraordinary in the studio, and others who redefine what it means to be a DJ — but it is a rare sight when both qualities reside in one person. Deetron is one of those rare cases. Watching him mix reveals not only the heights of technical mastery, but how deeply technique can enhance the emotional and physical power of a DJ set.

Kevin Ferhati makes his awaited debut on 01366 with a dancefloor-ready EP
Inside in Outside is atmospheric yet built to move, where mysticism and rituals of the past meet modern techno. Deep, driving stompers wrapped in haze and tension, balancing raw energy with immersive textures.

Uväll delivers a remix in the same ritualistic nature of the EP, hypnotic, powerful, and quietly transcendent.

AHIL joins the Monument Podcast from Rotterdam with a rich and immersive addition to the series.
Episode 511 unfolds as an ever-evolving journey, blending depth, energy, and seamless progression throughout.

Some words from the artist -

“Having the opportunity to create a mix for Monument, a platform and festival that has shaped my sound over the past six years, feels truly special.
I approached this mix the same way I would approach a festival set, I want this to feel as a journey shared between artist and dancer. It begins with space to arrive, to settle into the moment, and to prepare for the adventure ahead. Slowly, percussive and deep hypnotic elements emerge, inviting the body to move almost unconsciously.
As the story unfolds, rhythms intensify and tension gradually builds, guiding the listener deeper into the experience. What starts as a subtle pulse evolves into a more intense flow of energy, leading towards a final moment of release”

3. Seigg - Arboreal

“Locked” opens the EP with a distorted, tension-building intro that gradually settles into an eerie groove. From there, “Arson Paradox” strips things back into a minimal, functional tool, while “Arboreal” introduces a more atmospheric direction — playful tribal noises shaping its hypnotic atmo-groove. “She Would Dance To This (Club Mix)” marks the emotional peak of the record, a beautifully charged cut carrying an intimate but powerful club energy.

The intensity continues with “Bear Paws”, a hook-driven moment for a full-room shake, before “Evolutionary Pressure” shifts toward chopped vocal fragments and a tightly wound hypnotic flow. Closing track “Exodus” lands with SEIGG’s signature elegance, rounding off the EP with refined sonic detail — a fitting final note to a release built on precise, feisty character.

A fitting name for the return of Olympios on Renegade Methodz. The Greek artist comes back with a fully realized EP that goes deeper into his personal world. This is not flashy or superficial music.

It has soul and character. You can hear the personality of the artist beneath the layers of sound design.
Immersive and patient, the record is built around steady movement, subtle evolution and carefully balanced harmonics. Olympios develops a sound that feels introspective but physical at the same time. Deep, introverted moods, singular grooves and raw finesse coexist in a way that feels honest and purposeful.

Pure, real underground techno. Made to last, far from the noise and forgettable releases that you’ll forget in a year from now. This is techno with soul and music for tomorrow, not just today. Another strong statement from a producer quietly building his own language.

We welcome Horston with a deep dive recorded live at FOLD in London, capturing the moment he stepped up to open the night.

The set unfolds with patience and intent — a carefully shaped journey through shadowy textures and driving rhythms.

A snapshot in time from the floor of one of London’s most revered spaces.

Some words from the artist -

“MNMT has been my key source of inspiration for some time now, so it feels very surreal for my Unfold Opening set to be featured as a MNMT Recording…

I came to Monument as a volunteer on the bar last year…

After leaving Veggli, having experienced the music I love in the most idyllic setting on earth, dancing in the mud with no shoes, watching the rain fall through the smoke and being able to look at stranger as if they were my lifelong friend, I knew now more than ever that this was the sound I wanted to strive towards in both my DJing and productions.”

The ATW Records boss and honorary prince of UK Garage steps up with a mix that might surprise you.

From the post-lockdown school of UK garage producers, Adam Emil Schierbeck, AKA Main Phase, is a rare international graduate. The Copenhagen producer has closely studied the British sound, shaping an international garage revival in his wake.

Schierback stands as one of UK Garage's premiere tastemakers. Ordained as the king of the speed garage shuffler, a Main Phase track is easy to spot: infectious swing and rippling melodies, underpinned by a sensual, determined mood. With Interplanetary Criminal, he now co-runs ATW Records, invigorating what was once a exploratory imprint into one of the scene's most crucial nurturers of new talent.

Some listeners might press play expecting the corybantic ragga edits of "100%," but patience is required: what you may expect from a Main Phase set only pokes its head out briefly (there's exactly one speed garage drop, two hours in).

Instead, treat RA.1030 as Main Phase 101. Opening with a dub-techno soundbath, the mix traces the roots and outer edges of his sound, and lands like an artistic statement he has been building towards since he was an awestruck teenager, racing home to catch Rinse FM.

Pōnky is the 480th guest of our original HATE Podcast series.

In this set, Ponky explores the hypnotic side of techno: driving energy, fluid percussion, and immersive loops that pull the listener into a continuous state of movement. The groove is constant, but never static — small details appear and disappear, synths swirl through space, and the rhythm unfolds like a living organism. As the set evolves, the intensity rises through thicker arrangements and more complex rhythmic structures.

The hypnotic groove remains the guiding force, but the sonic palette expands gradually, revealing new textures and emotional depth.Toward the final part of the set, the energy begins to transform. The dense rhythmic layers slowly open up, making space for more melodic elements to emerge.

Available to listen to via our SoundCloud from Sunday (15th of March, 2026)

1. Lakej - Functioning
2. VSK - Blue Mirror
3. Ksenia Kamikaza - Friends Thru Drugs
4. Liza Aikin - Æ S
5. Igors Vorobjovs - Fragile Thoughts

The record opens with a track by Swedish techno futurist Lakej, featuring his signature sound of machinery on a working factory floor. The music immediately transports you into the industrial atmosphere of a rave.

This time, the Italian-born, Berlin-based artist VSK takes us on a journey through the emotional waves of deep techno. A slightly jazzy groove makes this track perfect for pick time dancefloors.

Latvian producer Ksenia Kamikaza stays true to her style, transporting us into a world of visualized melodies and rhythms. The bassline sets the groove, while the unhurried rhythm allows you to fully surrender to the dance.

Liza Aikin brings an uncompromising Berlin vibrations to the release, reminding us how a true rave should sound. Her style is not heavy but persistent. Liza never stops experimenting, and this track will be a highlight of any DJ set.

Another Latvian electronic talent closes the release. Igors Vorobjovs blends the best of electro and techno in his track. Nervous rhythms and loud sounds stir the emotions, while the raw, untamed resonance will leave no true connoisseur of feral techno indifferent.

Bonus track: Lakej - Scratching Itches - breaks rhythms, rules and is your next dancefloor secret weapon.

Molecular is a four-track EP built from a microscopic approach to sound design. Across Resin, Calco, Concrete and the title track Molecular, the release explores atonal synth structures and deeply textured layers inspired by the physical impact of bass music.

Rather than focusing on melody, each track examines sound at a granular level, shaping movement through density, pressure and subtle internal motion. The result is a raw and sculptural body of work where details feel alive, and sonic matter shifts beneath the surface.

A relatively fresh character with a steady output, truly in the midst of honing his niche of tight compositions with wonderfully fast paced energy and playful phrasing, challenging banal business-techno ideas with fresh effervescent sound design and a keen understanding of how to shape a four to the floor beat into something irresistibly groovy.

Solid forward motion and attention to detail throughout without over cooking the elements perfectly balanced to keep the body well and truly electrified, providing the means to indulge in a fully twisted dancefloor flowstate.

This one will can tease even the most stoic of ravers into a cheeky hip bump and leg pump.

The EP opens with Jett, a powerful and melodic cut marked by Bidoben’s unmistakable sonic identity, followed by Voltage C, a refined and minimal piece with a subtle epic touch. The A-side closes with Tormented, a fierce reimagining of the atmosphere that defined Torment, demonstrating the artist’s ability to evolve and expand his expressive range.

On the flip, Hypernature sets the tone with captivating grooves and cosmic melodies, leading into Ashley Origami, a solid, floor-oriented tool designed for peak-time tension. The journey concludes with Edges of Normal, the most mystical track of the release, lighter in tone but no less engaging.

The digital version includes Plateau, a hypnotic, loop-driven piece with finely detailed sound design that keeps the energy in constant motion.

B1. The Blessed
B2. Aim Without Mercy (Dylan Fogarty Remix)

Dense, rolling rhythms reminiscent of early ’00s Stockholm techno, combined with a catchy repeating vocal sequence (one of Lag’s trademark techniques) and rising sirens, result in the monster opening title track “Absolution”. “Aim Without Mercy” is another club destroyer - jabbing keys, broken jagged beats, and a series of rising pressure points making it another winner. “The Blessed” meanwhile, shifts the mood from mental to majestic, with interchanging leads and reverb-drenched climaxes marking the big-room peak of the record. Rounding things off is Irish wunderkind Dylan Fogarty, who reimagines “Aim Without Mercy” through a deep and psychedelic lens, layering textural collages over surging, jacking 909s.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from FLORES NEGRAS. Chicago underground icon and powerhouse, Flores Negras brings a raw, driving and sensual sound everywhere she plays. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from JessyJiggy. "Lesser Versions Of What I've Already Felt" comes off the new EP, agent by default in hybrid systems, forthcoming on At The Intersection Records. The release is a deep dive into today’s and tomorrow’s society. Across four tightly constructed tracks, cinematic-surrealist musician and DJ JessyJiggy reflects on how mankind and machine-driven systems coexist and evolve. We act, respond, and adapt as agents by default caught between instinct and structure. Built for movement yet rooted in observation, every progression feels less like a command and more like a suggestion inviting listeners to negotiate their own place inside the grid.

Based in Toledo and Madrid, Ribé & Roll Dann are exciting residents at Laster Madrid and Lanna Club, two of Spain's leading venues. Emerging as driving forces in their national techno scene, they have also made an impact on the global landscape, making wider moves through collaborative releases on Klockworks, and individual outings on a number of other influential labels. Having previously featured in the label’s Federation of Rytm IV compilation, the pair make their full EP label on SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint to open March with a deep dive into their expansive sound.

Opener ‘Sub Terra’ is a pure club tool that is direct, physical and rooted in the underground with a seriously heavy low end. ‘Extra Lumen’ is more restrained but still built on a steady, forceful rhythm with controlled energy that prefers to operate in the shadows. ‘Ars Non Placens’ stays true to the idea that music is not made to please, but to exist on its own terms with hunched drums and dubby undercurrents. Next, ‘Meritum Negatum’ fizzes with static electrical charge and minimal drum funk and is a direct reflection on overlooked skill and unacknowledged work, before closer ‘Virtus Persistens’ delivers a continuity and a steady pulse rather than an explosive ending, keeping you locked throughout.

In addition, three digital bonus cuts come alongside the vinyl package. ‘Labor Inauditus’ speaks to hours of technique, production and booth experience that remain invisible. Next come the taught, rubbery rhythms and unrelenting atmosphere of 'Silentium Testium’, while ‘Sine Aplausu’ - which means without applause - brings a ghostly late night vibe that you will never want to end.

The EP launches with ‘Vocoding Your Nan Out Of Existence’ on the A1 - full of growling and tortured alien vocoder melodic experimentation combined with driving funky drum work and organic atmospherics, this slab of freaky techno weight is aimed directly at the most debauched of dance-floors. ‘Get To Know It In The Flesh’ follows up on the A2 with rolling, grooving rhythms and dramatic string stabs alongside outlandish synth melodies, looping vocals and eerie creatures lurking in the background.

On the flip ‘Ready2BeginWot?’ gets things jacking with swinging rhythmic funk and and ear-worm repeating vocal line in a fast house-inspired slammer. ‘Hollow And Suited’ follows on the B2 with its tribal driving drum work and mutating resonated vocals sitting alongside debased synth melodics for the most haunted club creatures. Finally, ‘Corvid House’ closes out the record with its swung and grooving drum loops, bird call sound effects, vocal hooks and euphoric pad bliss to finish off another plate of dance-floor degeneracy.

Locked into the rhythm of today’s techno landscape, Berlin-based sorcerer Jesse G shapes an intense, ritualistic musical journey. This mix brings you to the depths of dark minimalism, melting into deep, psychedelic passages that become pacy and percussive before the boosters kick in and the trip gets cosmic.

Her textures contain power, but never at the expense of emotional nuance, as elements of bass music, breakbeat and UK sound seep into her selections. Witness this Tresor Resident and Hard Wax staffer casting a seamless spell of punching grooves with psychedelic atmospheres at Dekmantel Selectors this summer.
The singular percussionist turns inward for a rare solo excursion.

Valentina Magaletti at the drums is a picture of freedom: laughing, loose-limbed, entirely absorbed. For RA.1029, the London-based percussionist channels that instinct into a rare solo outing—a personal excursion through her musical archive. The atmosphere moves as freely as she plays, shifting from ominous and claustrophobic passages to contemplative field recordings.

Collaboration is one of the central ways she continually reinvents herself, whether it be spiritual dub excursions with Shackleton and Holy Tongue, or post-punk melancholia with Moin. As she told The Guardian in 2024, "dialogue is more interesting than monologue." Take her work with Princípe associate Nídia, in which she used Angolan kuduro as a springboard for new acoustic visions of dance music.

But Magaletti is also a solo artist in her own right, and RA.1029 is the sound of her own monologue. The 90-minute mix sees her roving through her personal archive, from wild drum excursions and Midwestern industrial to frenetic free jazz, eerie gqom and Ukrainian electro. It captures, she says, her current inner state, a feeling of being "suspended between introspection and anticipation." Fitting, then, for a groundbreaking artist who thrives in the spaces in between.

Sol Ortega is the 479th guest of our original HATE Podcast series.

A versatile ride through deep and dub textures, flowing into proper techno, with stops along the way in house, Detroit techno and hardgroove territory. There’s a clear thread running through the whole mix: steady groove, jacking hi-hats, and chords that lock in the identity from start to finish.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Sol has become one of the few Latin American artists to carve out a strong presence on the global electronic music scene. Her unique sets — skillfully moving along the border between House and Techno — quickly gained traction in Argentina.

Sol has performed at some of the world’s most respected clubs and festivals, including Berghain, Concrete, Fusion Festival, Creamfields, EDC, Stone Techno Festival, Toffler, Boiler Room, Dekmantel, Fabric London, Fabrik, Lollapalooza, among many others.

Her studio work mirrors her approach as a DJ: one step at a time, with unwavering consistency. Early releases on Rhythm Nation and Unitas Multiplex laid the groundwork, while 2023 marked a milestone with her standout release on CROWD, followed by contributions to the Hardproof series on IMF, SEVEN, RAW. Her latest EP ’Auguria’ (2026), was released on Mitsubasa. Whether played by a House or a Techno DJ, Sol’s productions thrive in any context — balancing complexity and simplicity with a rare and distinctive touch.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Corpse Dust. "Torture Me" comes off the new EP, Suffer, forthcoming on DKA. After forging their way into the industrial and harsh noise scenes with “Nothing Left Of Pain” (2023), experimenting with a Bleached Cross remix (2023), a cover of Godflesh’s “Angel Domain” (2024), and the stand-alone darkwave single “Full of Love (Redux)” (2025) - a complete overhaul of the track’s original sound, CORPSE DUST returns with “Suffer” in 2026.

With “Suffer”, a new vision unfolds across its eight songs, as the harsh intensity is stripped away, a new kind of shimmering darkness emerges. CORPSE DUST has taken a sharp turn into the world of darkwave and ebm songwriting, while still maintaining their revered industrial edge.

“Suffer” moves you through a sonic landscape that demands your attention with pulsing basslines and danceable beats, then pulls you in deeper with its brooding vocals and catchy synth melodies, while finally morphing into an aggressive industrial pounding by its finale.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from The Spoiled. "Sad Eyes, Angry Eyes" comes off the new LP, When It Rains, forthcoming on AVANT! Records. The Italian post-punk project led by Giovanni Santolla, blends electronic beats, distorted synths, and reverb-soaked guitars into a dark, romantic, and nostalgic sound. In 2024, the project self-released the debut EP, Time, distributed by Manic Depression, followed in 2025 by the full-length Living Ghosts via Swiss Dark Nights—an album that firmly established The Spoiled within the contemporary post-punk scene. Following the album’s release, Giovanni collaborated with international acts including This Eternal Decay, Darkways, Corlyx, Chaos International, and Hinfort, while maintaining a dense touring schedule across Europe and sharing the stage with artists such as Traitrs, Hinfort, Darkways, and Ductape.

The new album When It Rains, set for release on Avant! Records on April 17, 2026, expands The Spoiled’s artistic vision with a focus on intense, romantic soundscapes that delve deeply into human intimacy and interpersonal relationships. Embracing a warmer and more personal sonic direction, the record blends elements of indie rock and electrogaze music that enrich and revitalize the dark, melancholic palette that has defined the project’s earlier works.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Mina Lord. "Drill To Serve" comes off the the new EP, Flock, forthcoming on Berlin's SUBVERTED. The EP began as a simple observation: how easily people surrender their critical thinking and follow the crowd. Mina Lord drew a parallel to sheep - not just as a visual, but as a reference to the biblical metaphor of the shepherd and the flock. But in this story, one sheep crowns itself the shepherd. And without question, the others follow. Or, to put it more sharply: they submit - even though this self-appointed leader may be clueless, misguided, or driven by
more evil intentions.

The EP explores the absurdity and danger of blind obedience, whether to a leader who is
incompetent, malevolent, or simply empowered by the sheer force of numbers. It’s a critique
of how collective inert

Rene Wise - Johnson's Theme - Dekmantel - DKMNTL-UFO21

a1. Johnson's Theme

b1. Flow
b2. Kanga

Tapping into the otherworldly frequencies of the UFO series, UK-born, Lisbon-based prodigy Rene Wise (@renewise) arrives on Dekmantel with an assured demonstration of his position at the cutting edge of real techno.

Andrew Shobeiri appeared in the cut and thrust of the scene fully-formed around 2017, instantly bringing his Rene Wise alias to top-tier labels with a razor-sharp combination of functional minimalism and mind-warping flair. There's no grey area fluctuation in his hypnotic, intentional sound — this is deep, captivating techno for the long haul, music to submit yourself to.

True to his sound, Rene Wise makes his presence felt on Dekmantel UFO with a varied spread of sounds, leading with the melancholic charm of the melodic sequences weaving through 'Johnson's Theme' before sinking into the engrossing folds and low-end rumble of 'Granite Skin'. There's a lighter atmosphere at play in the vaporous impulses that mark out 'Flow' before rolling into the rhythmic urgency and strafing bleeps of 'Kanga'.

This is the Dekmantel UFO experience as expressed by one of the leading lights in modern techno — an artist who understands the psychoactive power contained within the subtleties of production and pursuit of the ultimate loop.

Sicilian-born, Amsterdam-based Fran LF returns to Nastia’s imprint with four techno tracks built over two years of studio work, each one telling part of a single story that unfolds across the EP. The narrative moves through different chapters, starting with tracks that shift and transform as they play out, building tension through evolving elements rather than straightforward drops. These are straight-up warehouse cuts — the kind that start one way and shift into something heavier as they unfold. Dubby atmospheres that harden into driving rhythms, basslines that anchor the groove, and synths that evolve throughout.

Moon Patrol is the musical project of Irina Kotik and Giles Wasserman - here the duo join us with a recording of their set at Barcelona's Laut.

Words from the artists :

This set means a lot to us, and we are super happy that it found its home with Monument! It was recorded at the HOC Radio x Delayed night at Laut in Barcelona on May 30, 2025, a collaboration we put together with our friends from HOC Radio. Binomi and Hue joined us behind the decks and helped make it what it was. One of those nights that stays with you, built with friends and shared with everyone who came through the doors.

Click † Click lands on BPitch Berlin with Strassen EP, a raw and uncompromising statement forged in the depths of Berlin’s techno underground.

Together, the four tracks form a cohesive statement on repetition, excess and memory within contemporary techno culture. Strassen does not soften or explain itself - it is designed to be felt in dark rooms, on loud systems, and in moments where time disappears, a focused and confident release that connects Berlin’s industrial edge and the enduring energy of the underground.
A kaleidoscope of polyrhythms and post-dubstep.

"Music was a way to speak Arabic… It's my way of being confident that I am, in fact, Lebanese," Jared Beeler AKA DJ Plead told Crack Magazine in 2022.

Often framed as an Australian producer threading Arabic rhythmic structures through techno and post-dubstep, DJ Plead's music is better understood as tradition embedded inside contemporary club forms, where percussion and bass move as one.

First surfacing in the late 2010s with releases on DECISIONS and Nervous Horizon, he has since become one of the most consistent voices in leftfield dance music, defined by the tactile clarity of their drum programming and Maqam-informed phrasing.

RA.1028 opens with Bruce's "Just Getting On With It" from Livity Sound's ten-year compilation, a fitting nod to the kind of rhythmic experimentation that runs through the set.

From Iran to London to Miami and back again, the 90-minute mix pulls a wide frame into focus, including several unreleased DJ Plead tracks. Whether it's the dry snap of hand-drum hits or sub-bass that lands with chest-caving weight, RA. 1028 is a reminder that rhythm can be a direct path back to the self.

lnspired by the myth of Echo and Narcissus, Shaleen translated the protagonists as well as their actions into musical and technical elements and created the tracks on this EP as part of an intense process of working through personal experiences, marked by narcissistic abuse and rehabiliation of the accompanying emotional trauma. The creative transformation of her experiences and insights into musical works was achieved using analog production elements.

Echo represents and enhances the emotional depth and resonance in the music. From the track
titles to the elaboration of small details to the overall listening experience of each track, the listener
gains a deep insight into Echo’s emotional world and what it feels like to be captivated by a Narcissist.
The tracks are designed to reflect the dynamics and emotional spectrum of the myth. Echo’s infinity
and reflection are represented by repetitive and floating sounds, while Narcissus’ self-centeredness
and coldness are expressed through hard, distant tones. This concept allows listeners not only to
enjoy the music but also to experience a story that appeals to them emotionally and intellectually.

With the title “Treatise On A Narcissist” hinting at the EP’s thematic exploration, the four originals
by Shaleen are a masterclass in atmospheric, driving techno—built on powerful basslines, intricate
percussion and an unnerving emotional intensity. This formidable body of work is then subjected to
four distinct and high-calibre reinterpretations, each pushing the originals into new sonic territories

Maōh commits to a tightly defined sonic language born from tribal percussion and restrained rhythmic dynamic, creating a physical and grounded listening experience. Deeply rooted in repetition and pulse, the release remains precise in its contemporary execution, serving as a bridge capable of uniting listeners in shared momentum.

As the tool-driven composition unfolds into storylines, revealing vast and unfamiliar landscapes, sparse voices surface to complete the narrative like a final breath, reminding us of the human presence within the universal expanse that the release encapsulates.

Ultimately, Nightfall traces a continuous line from early collective expression to a forward-facing, technological present. Rhythm functions here as ritual and joint movement, articulated with clarity and intent.

Sexyrecs ‘Third Base’ marks a new chapter for the label.

Dutch producer Khas delivers a grounded and more restrained take on techno, built on organic structures, subtle tension and contrasting bleeps that slowly pull you in. It’s a toned down approach compared to earlier releases of Sexyrecs, but the groove and sensuality are still very much there.
Berlin duo LYRIC take the remix deep into the details, stretching and reshaping the sounds until they become hypnotic and immersive, adding a darker and more introspective layer to the EP.

Less rush, more control. Still sexy.
