The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by the French artist SIERRA. We premiere today the EP's title track "All About Love", that comes off her upcoming release on December 4th. Influenced by EBM, darkwave, and industrial techno, "All About Love" is mainly inspired by violence and melancholia. She marks a new step in her oeuvre with a more personal approach, moving further away from Synthwave musical tropes to establish a musical territory of her own.

For the the past year, South Korean imprint ABRX has explored material which exists at the intersection of cinema and electronics. The latest release from the label expands on this concept even further with the debut studio album from Ahraam. Human, All Too Human is 10 tracks of dramatic, multi-textured compositions which weave in and out of genres, moods and atmospheres for a rich sensory experience. The track titles recall famous cultural works and Ahraam masterfully transports the listener into the song’s environments. Today we host, “Unchained”, which is one of our favorites of the album and a rhythmic episode of industrial flares and guitar feedback which makes for a epic journey.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Vū+PRVNTK. “Rapture” comes off the new album Lucubra (VūMantra Records), an 8 track release which showcases the duo’s powerful, ritualistic sound. The album contains for originals + 4 remixes from Nastika (Pact Infernal - Horo), Yøkaï, Ezaüf and Fangarm. Techno drum machines clash against disrupted voices and percussion that are played live in order to keep the shamanic vibes. Vince Gagliardi (a.k.a. Vū) is a 3D artist and music producer. He is the founder of the label VūMantra Records, artistic director of the collective Modern Bön and creator of the audiovisual project The Nent (Cyclic Law), well-known for its impactful A/V live performances. Francesco Provenzano, aka PRVNTK, is a BMG music publishing songwriter and composer, as well as an artist and performer. He collaborated, as a producer, with Berlin studios such as Mesanic/Bewake studios, and shared the same stage with artists like Black Tiger Sex Machine.

Today we are excited to host “Rapture”, which is a heavy, slow burning work of hypnotic industrial rituals. Lucubra is out November 27th and you can pick it up on Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from LBEEZE. The Melbourne-based artist has been making waves for some time now with his raw, unpolished vision of EBM, industrial, electro and beyond while also releasing some of the freshest and most exciting new material on his label, Up North Records. New Brvtalism No. 257 is a wild trip though various shades of the artist's vicious sound.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere "The End" by Djedjotronic on the French label Ritmo Fatale. Proudly unconventional, no smooth edges, no polished veneer, just dystopian drama with a tangible physical aesthetic. After the label's latest successful release "Velvet Dreams”, Ritmo Fatale is now back with the "Mirror Fantasy" EP.

As one of the most renowned players on the electro scene, Djedjotronic crafted a nasty retro-futuristic electro/EBM ride and delivers a merciless dystopian anthem. He's also working on other releases and one of them will be out on Jensen Interceptor’s label "International Chrome".

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere the track "Peace Worker" by the dutch artist Randstad, the production and DJ moniker of the multimedia artist Thomas van Linge, co-founder of the record labels BAKK and Rubber and freshly relocated to Berlin. After first hearing his rhythmic drum workout on ‘Metalloid’, his contribution for this year’s ‘Still Life’ compilation, he releases his second EP ‘These Serpents’ for Veyl. Randstad is pushing his idea across the spectrum of industrialized beat music for this outright roaring 6-tracker ideal to tear down clubs when they finally re-open in 2036.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from HAF HAF. The artist returns to the Gang of Ducks imprint after 2014’s Notch helped define the sound of the label. Now the artist is set to release, Pattern In Chaos, an 8 track release which finds the artist in top form, traversing a diverse array of sounds, genres and atmospheres. The title sums up the release perfectly as it definitely feels chaotic at times but there’s always a common denominator and a thread that runs through the release.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere “Spritzkrieg” by Soft Crash, the new music collaboration formed by Hayden Payne, aka Berghain resident Phase Fatale and Pablo Bozzi of Imperial Black Unit. Attempting to throw off the dark and authoritative stereotypes of the current music scene they helped foster, Payne and Bozzi look to their core influences of synthwave, disco, and early techno to carve a new path as italo body music pioneers.

The Spritzkrieg EP presents 3 tracks serving as just a bite of what will follow in their full length album for 2021. Each song serves as a view into the pool of subgeneres that they are exploring: from Frankfurt prototrance and techno to driving italo disco and new beat to drowned out electro on the verge of 90s Warp-alike ambient. Both trained musicians, Soft Crash brings melody back into the fold, creating intelligent, melancholic hooks combined with sensual, pulsating rhythm. It can convey the artists’ emotions in a picturesque way that just words themselves cannot. Music that would fit perfectly in the largest concrete techno halls as well as the sleaziest lab disco nights.

Spellbinding Rotterdam live duo Animistic Beliefs weave dark and mangled synths into their industrial-techno offering 'Save Are Islands', while Ranie Ribeiro (fka D. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Verset Zero. “Crucifixio” comes off the artist’s new full length album, Kerygma, which represents over a year’s worth of work and what the artist calls his most personal productions to date. The album masterfully showcases Verset Zero’s unique, genre-shattering sound and definitely pushes his work in to the post-metal direction which scathing vocals and a heavy, punishing sound. Utilizing religious themes to create a haunting atmosphere, Kerygma will leave you blood-thirsty for more and requires repeat listens to fully engage with its layered, ever-evolving productions.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new track from Hybral. “Gegen Polizeigewalt” comes off the massive new v/a compilation from label, event series, community and all around Brvtalist favorite Gegen. Made up all all female (and beyond) artists, GEGENDIGITAL001 delivers some of the most exciting producers from across the techno spectrum including Esther Duijn, Monya, Lady Maru and our own madwoman. Today we are thrilled to present this high speed, electrifying track from Berlin-based, non-binary producer Hybral. They believe that techno is political and thus they always have a political approach, not only by the representation as a queer DJ and producer in the techno scene, but also in their track selection - Hybral tries to select and produce tracks that include political statements or theories. “Gegen Polizegewalt” is the perfect example as they use their crushing, industralized sound to apply pressure against police brutality of POC.

Today we are pleased to feature this great new release from Beacon Sound. Portland-based artist Patricia Wolf delivers two distinct remixes for “The New And Improved Guide To Birdwatching Vol.3” which is a track off the recently released album, Subject To Potential Errors And Distortions from Lebanese artist Fadi Tabbal. Wolf, a musician, sound designer and curator, uses electronics, voice, and field recordings to produce non-linear compositions that draw listeners to a hypnotic inner world. Her use of melody and repetition manipulate the listeners' perception of time, conjuring vivid textures, and atmospheres.

We were immediately hypnotized by Wolf’s takes on the original track. The first “Beatless Remix” is a beautiful piece of cinematic elegance which will no doubt teleport you elsewhere. The second contains a more energized rhythmic flow that is a quietly powerful more dance friendly work.

Following up on his label debut Omen Rising, Sam KDC returns to HORO with Mutiny in Monochrome, a devastating release of four techno subversions and genre shattering productions which have come to define the sound of the UK-born, Spain-based artist. For over a decade, KDC has been traversing the sound spectrum with crushing breakbeats, blackened atmospheres and floor destroying electronics. The tracks on Mutiny were recorded while confined to his remote studio during the pandemic and they are seething with bleak, malicious undertones which capture the moment perfectly.

To mark this excellent release, today we present a Q&A with the artist about the release, the pandemic and more, as well as a special edition mix which is a powerful accompaniment to that artist’s brvtal, layered sound. From his online presence to his smooth falsetto, his lo-fi beats to his love of smoking weed, dreamcastmoe comes across as a super chill, super cool kinda cat. The American is signed to PPU, has put out a couple of well received Lost Tape mixes and recently unveiled his new Lamont EP on Real Life. Drifting through jazz, r&b, funk, soul and house, his sound is fluid, heart wrenching and disarming. It truly blurs the lines between traditional genres while conjuring up the familiar feelings of highs, lows, loves and losses we all experienced on a daily basis.

Moe is a lifelong resident of Washington DC. He recorded this mix after the election so it is extra cathartic and features his own intermitting musings between the beats. It features some exclusive dreamcastmoe live versions but kicks off with a powerful 1965 speech on race by American activist James Baldwin. The next sixty minutes remain just as potent, sometimes with steamy r&b, sometimes heartbreaking soul and at other times playful boogie and cuddly deep house. This hour with Moe is like an hour spent with a friend who understands all your innermost aches and pains and comforts you through them all.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere the new music video for "Out Of Reach" by The Undertaker's Tapes in collaboration with the visual artist Chloé Burkiewicz. The track comes off Prague's collective Wrong first solo release in their catalogue. "Autolysis" is a series of recordings exploring the themes of body and decay. It serves as the opening act focusing on cellular auto-destruction which comes as a mirror to the introspectional work that we have been put through during these doomed times. From angry industrial to EBM, dance-floor killers to noisy melancholia, this EP consists of 6 original tracks with a ritualistic heavy collaboration with French producer Incendie and four other remixes delivered by EBM machinery Mind Matter, rising Czech techno madman C4AT and two members of Wrong collective, HYΛEN and Trauma.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere the track "Monster Child" from Diana Berti's latest release on Veleno Viola. Diana Berti is the moniker used by Francesco Baudazzi (Violet Poison) for distinctly nostalgic productions that revisit the 80s of the obscure bands on cassette in a fairly modern way. The lean melodies and essential rhythms of “The Hand That Seeds Death” are the setting for a visionary and hypothetical 80s b-movie that looks like the plot of “Phenomena” by Dario Argento. Solidly anchored to certainties such as Muslimgauze, Goblin and Doxa Sinistra, turn on the VCR and enjoy this dream journey on VHS.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from ROÜGE. The French DJ and producer has been one of our favorite artists to watch as of late with her EBM/techno infused productions and high energy, rave ready sets. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere "Incubate" by OFK. Debuting on Arboretum, OFK is the brand new alias of the electronic producer Oliver Kucera, also known as the half-mind behind “Unknown Archetype”, duo signed on R&S. Stretching his techno-industrial dialectic towards more uncharted idioms, Kucera brings together a sci-fi landscape of uncanny melodies, haunted distortions and deep, low-end broken kick-drums.

outstandingly de-constructed by Cocktail Party Effect.

Title: Rhythm Büro 007
Label: Rhythm Büro

Format: Vinyl 12”
Genre: Electronic
Style: #Techno
Release date: 13th November 2020

Tracklist :

A2. Hydrangea - Half Awake
B1. Lapien - Tainted
B2. Orion - PI

Rhythm Büro's second VA release comes together as something of a legacy of doing parties and running a label for nearly 6 years. While the Ukrainain founders and core team is three members, the extended collective is composed of DJs and producers who've often played the parties, fans and friends alike from around the world. This EP is a celebration of that community: the Kyiv-based initiative has brought a handful of the parties' friends together for one beautiful four-tracker. After a run of solo EPs in their catalog by the likes of Zadig, Haze, Na Nich and Cyspe, Rhythm Büro's 7th release includes such artists as the Italian duo a_000, their compatriots Orion, one-half of Artefakt, Lapien, and the up-and-coming French techno prodigy, Hydrangea.
The record is intentionally divided into two different parts: the A side presents deep techno done very well, while the B side explores slightly housier sonic ventures. A1's ‘Lilium’ is a track that might be best known among some of the heads; it was posted on soundcloud for a short time, but now sees the proper pressing it deserves. Its palate appropriately sets the deep and hypnotic tone for the record. A2’s ‘Half Awake’ by Hydrangea provides an agreeably logical progression, albeit arguably more attuned to peak time dance floor hours. The A side represents what Rhythm Büro as a label does best: techno not only for your feet and moving, but also for your head and dreaming.
The B side of the record sees a nice shift towards groovier and brighter yet deep tunes. Lapien’s ‘Tainted’ on B1 follows a similar fate as its A1 counterpart, as the track was originally produced years ago, and only recently was given its final touches before finally being released. On B2 is a track by the Italian duo, Orion who are well-known for releasing records on their own label of the same name, as well as on Molly’s RDV imprint. Both tunes signify Rhythm Büro’s interest in and commitment to environments and sonic scapes other than that of the typical 'dark-sweaty-thumping-warehouses.' The RB team is happy to say that more such examples of sonic diversity can be expected from them in future releases. As a label trusted by fans and DJs alike, Rhythm Büro delivers on the unspoken promise of timeless pleasant surprises, for on and off the dancefloor, inside and outside of the club, for a genre that can, at times, lack such a dedicated spectrum and passion.

Today we are pleased to present Notes From A Pandemic, a new hardcover book written by August Skipper. Known for his production work with Operant and his solo project Agency, as well as being half of record label Instruments Of Discipline, he now delivers this great work of poems, prose and digital sketches. Notes seeks to document the psychic implosion surrounding the initial period of European quarantine. Taking the form of an abstract journal, a series of short poetry and prose evoke blurred vignettes of near-future conspiracy, personal reflection and weird transcendence; the pieces acting as a corrosive agent, exposing the hidden narrative that emerges between memory, media events and direct experience in the enforced isolation of a single room.

The book will be released as a collaborative audiobook in the following months, the first track included with purchase of the book “The Skin Of Strangers” is a collaboration with Berlin-based artist Cunce (aka Keepsakes). Printed on 48 pages of 115gsm paper, A6 format, hardcover, bound in black cloth with the title and author debossed on the cover and spine.

Notes is a fantastic read, relatable on multiple levels and Skipper’s voice shines through the dark pandemic cloud offering thought provoking shorts to humorous thoughts and beyond. Pick up your copy now on Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist is proud to premiere Esplendor Geométrico's live version of its classic "Necrosis En La Poya", recorded in Tokyo in 2010. Little remains to be told about Esplendor Geométrico, pioneers of the most transgressive industrial music who have been active for 40 years and who have influenced countless bands and artists with their harsh, raw, and hypnotic sound. Necrosis En La Poya was their first single, released in 1981, and now this live version is being published on Industrial Complexx in their first vinyl release. The V.A also features great artists such as Max Durante, SOJ, L/F/D/M and Group.

Alicia Carrera has been quietly working away in the underground for a number of years. She is Barcelona based after a spell in Berlin, and is a multi-disciplinary talent who works as a graphic artist, photographer and editorial designer all while managing the cult Hivern Discs label and (in other times) spinning weird and wonderful DJ sets all round Europe. She has a penchant for sounds that come from opposite ends of the spectrum - colourful and psychedelic, dark and experimental, slow and cosmic or more hard and techno - and hearing her join these up is always a thing to behold, as are her radio shows for the likes of NTS Radio amongst others.

This week, no doubt mindful of the fact many of us are spending most of our time at home, she takes on a far-flung journey through mid tempo grooves and cinematic sounds. It's a mind-expanding trip that opens with worldly ambiance and takes you through a number of wide open spaces littered with sombre trumpets, gently tumbling jazz drums and cosmic drones. It's pensive and absorbing as it slowly shifts through the gears, and is a perfect catalyst for escapism.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Randolf & Mortimer. The UK artist continues his tear across the EBM, rave and industrial spectrums releases tracks that are reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s sound while maintaining a fresh perspective of the modern world. “Enjoy More”, taken from the LP Manifesto For A Modern World, is the soundtrack to a decade when the rise of the markets and the Ayn Rand philosophy of Objectivism and it’s belief in Laissez-faire capitalism, a form of capitalism devoid of any regulation, ran rampant. The decade of self-interest, a concern for one’s own advantage and well being, and the obsession with wealth accumulation truly took hold. The aftermath of which we are now dealing with today.

The concept couldn’t be more fitting and now we are thrilled to bring you Kris Baha’s massive remix of the track. The release will be out November 6th on 20 lathe cut transparent 7”, 40 DIY CDs and digital formats. Get yours on Bandcamp.

Much of dance music might have been on pause in 2020, but not Roska. The vital underground powerhouse has continued to put out a steady stream of high quality singles both solo and in collaboration with the likes of Syren Rivers, Ruby Wood and Serocee. He collected them all together this summer on Eight Trax, a mini album on his own Roska Kicks & Snares which tells the story of an artist who still finds freshness in UK funky having played a key part in its initial emergence over a decade ago. On top of this, he also assumed his Bakongo alias again recently to serve up his unique take on UK rhythms with the new 3 x 2 EP on Livity Sound, which comes after years of veering into UKG, house and various other mutant strains of bass heavy music on labels like Tectonic, Rinse and Hotflush.

This week he digs deep to serve up a podcast filled with a mixture of his key influences and personal favourites. "The whole theme is how genres outside of dancehall have been influenced by dancehall," he says of a sunny selection including material from Sean Paul, Major Lazor, DJ Gregory, Kenny Dope, Karizma and DJ Zinc next to plenty of his now new beats old and new. It's a real history lesson that brings us right up to the present day and beyond.

Since 2013, Berlin based AEON label has continuously pushed the limits of exceptional and timeless techno and house, blurring boundaries and maintaining a clear vision in unabashed originality and creativity. Now comes the birth of AEON’s innovative sub-label æonic; a non-conformist nebula of electronic sounds, within but not confined to the realms of Techno, Ambient, Experimental and Electronica.

Æonic defies tradition and stereotypes, with the only intent being to sculpt the artists visionary sound, completely on their own creative terms. The label will be christened by an intoxicating new album “Lost Knowledge”, by Neapolitan brothers TVA & le visionnaire, aka Marco and Francesco Paolo. The two have been steadily crafting their unique collaborated sound from their creatively charged backgrounds in art direction and classical musicianship; releasing initially on AEON as well as Belgium label Curle. Their debut album released on Æonic will also feature two exclusive EPs with remixes from Berghain resident Answer Code Request, as well as Redshape and Lake People.

Mika Oki is an expert in spatial design, whether through the music she makes or the sculpture she creates. The French-Japanese visual artist works with video, sound, and electro-acoustics to create abstract textures and mental imagery that perfectly intersect the worlds of club rhythm and ambient experimentation. In the past she has been behind 24 hour performance pieces involving dancers, performers and poets, has played high concept festivals such as Atonal and Nyege Nyege and recently served up 'As Clean As I Was,' a debut production for a forward looking compilation on Metaphore Industrie. On top of this, she also opened up the Brussels branch of LYL radio and hosted a fundraiser for the vital community station.

Her mixes are never less than faultless and this week she crafts one such trip which balances many opposites: heady ambient synth work and rugged drums, busy acid workouts and sparse, bass heavy rhythm tracks, cathartic passages of musical mindfulness with brutal drum assaults. Artists like Pq, Sirio, Low End Activist, Simo Cell, Aphex Twin and Hanz all feature to make for a selection that tugs you in many different directions at once, both physically and emotionally, and for that reason we cannot get enough.

In the late 90's and into the first two decades of the millennium, he recorded and toured in several bands in the genres of Hardcore Punk, Shoegaze, Triphop and Avant Garde. Though she came up in London, Danielle embodies the cutting edge electronic sound of her hometown of Bristol. She traverses styles and tempos with a boundary blurring vision that makes each and every selection a surprise. She credits the freedom that comes with years of playing warm up sets as having given her the confidence to play it weird, and has kept that MO now she has become a headliner in her own right. Of course, her NTS shows are always eye-opening affairs for the same reason.

Given where she lives, a certain bass weight will always underpin a Danielle set, and this week's podcast is no different. In 75 minutes she plots a line from sparse and atmospheric rhythmic pulses to full throttle jungle-referencing rave. Along the way she finds a perfect sweet spot between head wrecking experimental tracks, futurist breaks and universally appealing techno that manages to be both muscular yet refined. It makes for quite the thrill.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Slave To Society. The new solo project of Andrew Bowen (AnD / Shadows), it’s been a personal favorite since blasting onto the scene last year. Exploring the extremities of the hardcore sound, the project is about the amalgamation of industrial and experimental noise music mixed with electronic rhythms from techno to jungle. New Brvtalism No. 251 puts this all on display with a crushing, tempo changing, genre traversing mix unlike anything else.

Berlin based artist Philipp Läufer aka War Scenes makes a monster debut on Animal Farm Records with Strangerz Crossin EP, with remixes from Duellist, IV Horsemen and Exome. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by Lokier on AREA Z. The Mexican artist built her identity around Techno, EBM, Industrial and Electro combined with Trance, New Wave and its varieties. Today we premiere “Inside Lies” that comes off the new EP “Uncanny Valleys”, a compilation that features great EBM-Techno artists such as SARIN, Imperial Black Unit, IV Horsemen, Velvet May, Incendie, Chrome Corpse, Unconscious, Celldöd, Chainbreakers and Teatre.

This compilation series is related to the theory introduced by Japanese robotitian Mori Masahiro back in 1970, referring to the paradoxical perception of the existing similarities between a robot and human beings.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere “Oblivion” by Llimbs. Tumultuous beats immersed with obscure ritualistic soundscapes. “Descending Void” is a 5-track EP on Voidance Records (Berlin), marking the versatile character of Llimbs project. The opening tracks, “Oblivion” and “Mass”, boldly pronounce Llimbs more abrasive aspect, carved through rhythmic broken beats, ominous chanting and sharp industrial textures. The following three tracks have a more experimental approach, with Side B composed of noisy ambiences and slow heavy rhythms.

The release is out out on October 19th on digital + a set of marbled vinyls and an exclusive bonus track for the first 100 limited edition copies of this release.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Nordstaat. The anonymous artist has quietly been one of our favorite producers as of late mixing black metal atmospheres with industrial techno rhythms. “Rods From God” is the first track off Telecorrupter, the artists forthcoming release which renders the interference of rituals and technological processes audible. The EP is another push towards uniting the unequal genres that inspire the project - manifesting techno. For us this is a near perfect blend of different ideals which coalesce to form pure dance floor destruction.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Vanity Productions. “White Ribbons On The Ceiling” comes off the new 12”, But All Spiked (Posh Isolation) and sees Danish artist Christian Stadgaard expand on his already impressive body of work under his Vanity Productions alias. The release features five pieces that veer surely yet subtly through a complimentary range of acousmatic environments. The works are emotive, delicate yet powerful with Stadgaard’s finely tuned touch leaving a lasting imprint on each piece. Today we premiere the first track from the release and also speak with the artist about the record, his solo work and more (on site).

But All Spiked is out October 16th on vinyl and digital. Pre-order yours now from Posh Isolation.

A master of kinetic percussion and low end bass weight, Hemlock, Timedance and Hessle Audio producer Ploy has long been a techno favourite. On his most recent album, Unlit Signals on L.I.E.S., however, he mixes it up much more across nomadic tracks filled with visceral energy. In fact, the record chews up and spits out influences taken from "decades of UK dance" as well as plenty of harder, more raw and noisy industrial scenes. It features eight tracks all with a darker overriding mood, as well as "dishevelled closing hours delirium applied across a spectrum of bpm."

That is of course the case on this week's podcast, which is a slippery selection of weighty rhythmic propulsions. As they pull you up, down, forwards and back, fractured percussion peppers the groove and twisted synths weave their way in and out of the cavernous spaces left behind. Whether playing slow and sludgy bass or hard and fast techno, Ploy seems somehow able to warp space and time, and often your mind and body are left just as bent out of shape.
The Brvtalist is pleased to present a new track from OCD. “Trash And Drugs” comes off her new EP out this month on Voices From Beyond. The warehouse vituosa and Brvtalist favorite continues to build on her crushing sound with 2 original tracks of pulse pounding brutality where elements of trance collide with hard techno and a furious storm of percussion. The virtual “flip side” also features a remix by Lucinee which combines stems from the two originals to create a mind melting, floor destroyer aptly titled “Oasis & Drugs”. This is an excellent three track EP featuring the combined forces of some of our favorite artists.

Out October 14th on digital formats. Pick yours up on Voices From Beyond.

Recording of Phase Fatale's live set at Dekmantel Festival 2018.

Phase Fatale: "Hot on the heels of my first proper Ostgut Ton EP, this live performance took place during a heatwave night where it was even sweatier inside the metal silo of UFO II. We needed ice buckets with fans to keep the gear cool enough on slabs of concrete. But it all went off without a hitch and was a proper purging for me always to perform live.“
The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Stephanie Sykes. With releases on labels like Full Panda, 47, SOMA and more, Stephanie is one of the most prolific artists in the techno world and has been one of our favorite DJ’s for a long time. We are thrilled to mark our 250th New Brvtalism mix with her and we thank everyone for their continued support of the series!

OMOLOKO is part of the new wave of artists who are leading the Brazilian scene from the front. His colourful 101Ø party in Belo Horizonte is one the most exciting in the country thanks to its exchange of artists both nationally and internationally. Having lived all over Brazil, his own music is infused with all the various niche scenes and sounds you would hear if you travelled the country, from disco to world music, techno to broken beat. His reputation has seen him booked at landmarks like Panorama Bar as well as our own festival in Amsterdam, and now he joins our podcast ranks with a mix that represents his open-hearted, free flowing style perfectly.

It is a selection that perfectly captures an outdoor, sun kissed summer vibe from the off. The funky drum patterns, the tropical r&b, the Latin hip hop all ooze warmth and soul and make for an instant party. As the long legged drums get more upright and tempos increase, the grooves remain steamy and humid and do an expert job of transporting to a different climate entirely. This is exactly the sort of timeless mix you will come back to for years to come.
The Brvtalist is pleased to support the forthcoming VA “Zusammenkunft II” from the Swedish label Kallkällan. The release is filled with industrial, experimental, hypnotic and ravy sounds crafted by artists from Europe, Canada and Australia. This is a fundraiser compilation and a 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontères (Doctors Without Borders), an international humanitarian medical NGO that provides lifesaving medical care to those most in need.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Bexa. The emerging Polist artist first appeared only last year but has taken the country by storm, DJing at some big events such as INSTYTUT Rave Arena and during ASID Global at Szyb Krystyna - an abandoned hoist tower of a former coal mine. Her style is influenced by apocalyptic cyber futures and she always transfers her high energy to the dance floor. We are thrilled to host this set which traverses her fast paced sound.

300 up! And who better to help us mark this milestone than Parrish Smith, a core member of the Dekmantel family for a number of years. Not only a much loved regular at our festivals, he is also at home on Dekmantel UFO when not releasing on L.I.E.S.. Smith's famously full-throttle body music has a distinctive analogue edge whether raw and industrial, or acid laced and raved up. Does that make him Holland's most punk DJ? Quite possibly, because his ability to bring sonic terror to any dance floor is second to none, no matter what tools he uses.

This week, he brings his bristling and unrelenting energy to your home stereo, headphones or car with all the disregard for genre you would expect. Across 90 punishing minutes there are distorted techno drums and caustic synths, brightly lit strobes and death metal vocals that will scare you to your core. Managing to keep a lid on such a high octane and confrontational mix of darkened sounds is a skill in itself, and one that Parrish Smith has long since mastered. This one, then, is not for the faint of heart.

Today we have a double header from Belgian imprint Rave Alert Records. The label has been on a tear as of late brining us a diverse selection from across the “Neorave” spectrum. Today, we celebrate 10 Years of Dame-Music, one of the most respected vinyl focused labels for lovers of acid, techno and beyond. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from T Y. “Siła (VTSS remix)” comes off the excellent new EP, Feeding Generation Z, forthcoming on Warsaw’s Carnivor Records. Generation Z has grown up in a world shaped by consumerism and a rapid pace of change. Be it from the phone in your pocket to the way we communicate socially and artistically. Modern times are fast paced and exciting but at points can become overwhelming. A constant push for information and a pressure to produce shaping the way we work and create.

For this release T Y combines 28 years of life and musical experience to capture the moment and a generation with tracks moving through the sound spectrum while remaining in the techno-verse. Today we are excited to host this powerful remix from renown Polish artist VTSS.

Bristol raised, London based Otik turned a lot of heads right from the off, and by now he has fully established himself as one of bass and techno's most interesting artists. His always original sounds on the likes of Keysound, Dext Recordings and Midland's Intergraded come with big kicks and curious leads that make for compelling listening. They always manage to be both physical yet emotive thanks to the ambiance around the inventive drum programming.

He manages to carry over that sense of the unknown yet the accessible into his always infectious DJ mixes. This week's podcast is a case in point: it's a meticulous piece of DJ craftsmanship that splices jungle, booming bass and skeletal UK techno together into a dark soundtrack that flails away wildly one minute then drills down to a hypnotic groove before cutting loose once more. Off-setting the dark with the light and the intense with the atmospheric in this way is a rare skill, but one that Otik has got down to a tee.
The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Unart8 & Georg Bigalke. “122” is off the forthcoming v/a release on Portuguese imprint Elberec. Featuring some of the most explosive new producers from across the techno scene, the artists arrive from Israel, Portugal and Germany for a thrilling six track comp which shatters boundaries and defies genre constraints. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Kujo. “Sense Report” comes off the forthcoming v/a release, Al-Ibtihal. out this month on Moroccan imprint Rhadâb. Derived from the Arabic word, Ibtihal, meaning a hard state to reach - a double edged sabre, Al-Ibtihal is an attempt to transcribe this feeling into the physical world through both visual and sonic mediums. The hour long album engulfs the two opposed sides of the same coin, depicted by the A-side and B-side of the tape. The selected artwork captured by the talented Hind Moumou and gracefully edited by Hagen Ebejer portrays as a reminder that the Hand is a strong symbol of protection, most notably in the North-African and Arab culture. The A-side is a collection of electronic rituals where endless evolving drones meet ambient distorded soundscapes. The B-side consists of martial pieces dedicated to War deities, with the introduction of tribal drums and beats. Today we premiere “Sense Report”, a track from the B-side which is a powerful and haunting experimental work from Kujo. More at: www.thebrvtalist.com/kujosensereport/

The tracks were recorded before and during quarantine and draw on influences from past and present and the productions explore the full spectrum between functional and experimental. China's 33EMYBW is part of a wave of producers around the world who are bringing a wealth of new ideas and plenty of fresh energy to the club music realm. She releases what she calls "limb dance" on Shanghai label SVBKVLT and is inspired by "insects, spiders, crustaceans and other exoskeletal creatures", which she tries to translate into music that gives the perception that you are surrounded by tiny dancing creatures. She has been busy recently, too, with a new composition called 'Intermission' coming out on the forthcoming Unsound Festival album, as well as a new track coming out in December on the second 'Cache' compilation on SVBKVLT.

For this week's podcast, 33EMYBW serves us up a live recording, made exclusively from her own music and mostly unreleased, with plenty of demos, new ideas and improvised sections included along the way. It is a fine snapshot of where she is at right now - which seems to be somewhere in an extra-terrestrial realm inhabited by impish spirits and alien lifeforms. Her synth lines ping pong about the mix with a mind of their own, her samples are mangled and distorted and her drum patterns wilfully off grid. It's a trippy world of sound that still manages to explore plenty of emotional nuances despite the otherworldly vibe and pure physicality of it all.
The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Apoc Krysis. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Julian Muller. “Not Afraid” comes off the massive new LP, Playing With The Devil, from the Belgium-based French producer and his debut on UK imprint Lobster Theremin. Making his mark on the techno scene over the last few years,  Muller initially stepped into the limelight as one half of 90 Process alongside Hadone, with releases on Pushmaster Discs and 10 Pills Mate before going solo and delivering material for the likes of Arts Collective, Blue Hour, Bipolar Disorder and of course Lobster Theremin which will release his inaugural long player here. Playing With The Devil blew us away on first listen with its menacing sound and diverse explorations of techno and beyond. Today we premiere the A3 track, “Not Afraid”.

Out September 25th and you can pick yours up on Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Shakti. The Seoul based DJ and founder of Hämmern is known for her intense, ravy tunes. She got the name “Shakti (Power in Hindi)” while studying in India and as the name describes, she delivers powerful energy to the floor. Her set usually is based on heavy industrial sound often combined with psychedelic synth, EMB line/wave, acid and vocals. We are thrilled to host exhilarating journey through her sound.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Unhuman + Petra Flurr. “Distraction = Destruction” comes off the debut full length album, Cause of Chaos (She Lost Kontrol) by the collaboration between the Berlin based producer Unhuman and the performer - activist Petra Flurr. The two artists return to the label after their single releases in the two volumes of Surviving in Europe and for Unhuman, after his mighty Aktion Mutante ep in collaboration with Violet Poison back in 2018.

Cause Of Chaos comprises eight tracks filled of energy and steeped in to gothic nostalgia and electronic body music. The well-known artists create a mix of post-punk and synthesizer electronics shaped by their uncompromised textures, that glides through genres with ease and combines modern style with retro goodness. The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from Evitceles. Following acclaimed releases for electronic powerhouses as Opal Tapes, Yerevan Tapes, Seagrave or Sofia-based Amek Collective among others, Bulgarian producer Etien Slavchev presents Нелюбов (Sound + Matter). Roughly translating in English as 'Nonloveʼ itʼs exactly what youʼll get from the record. Нелюбов is mostly occupying the lower ends of both the frequency and the emotional specters of Evitcelesʼ music.

Today we present the video for “Weak Eyes”, one of our favorite tracks on the album and a slow burning, rhythmic work of haunting atmospheres with a trip-hop vibe. The whole album is an incredible work of genre bending tracks and shows the diverse range of Evitceles.

Нелюбов is out September 25th and you can pick it up on now on Bandcamp.
